The film is written and directed by Joe Carnahan and stars Patrick Wilson, Chris Pine, Ed Helms, Jessica Alba, Brooklyn Decker, James Badge Dale and Ray Liotta. The movie follows a down-on-his-luck chauffeur who is looking to relieve his debt by driving around a mysterious billionaire who drags him to hell and back. Carnahan is also producing the project with Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity, The Purge) for Blumhouse Pictures. Tracy Falco (Lions for Lambs) is executive producing. The director has previously collaborated with composers including Cliff Martinez (Narc), Clint Mansell (Smokin’ Aces), Alan Silvestri (The A-Team) and Marc Streitenfeld (The Grey). ‘In Secret’ Soundtrack Details

in-secretA soundtrack album has been announced for the romantic drama In Secret. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Gabriel Yared (The English PatientThe Talented Mr. Ripley). The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 21 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out audio clips after the jump. In Secret is directed by Charlie Stratton and stars Elizabeth Olsen, Oscar Isaac, Tom Felton and Jessica Lange. The movie based on Émile Zola’s s novel Thérèse Raquin is set in thee lower depths of 1860s Paris and follows a sexually repressed young woman who is trapped into a loveless marriage to her sickly cousin by her domineering aunt. The drama premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and will be released this Friday, February 21 by Roadside Attractions/Lionsgate. moms-night-outMarc Fantini and Steffan Fantini are currently recording their orchestral score for the upcoming family comedy Moms’ Night Out. The film is directed by Andrew & Jon Erwin (October Baby) and stars Sarah Drew, Sean Astin, Patricia Heaton, Alex Kendrick, Robert Amaya, Abbie Cobb, Andrea Logan White, Kevin Downes, Harry Shum Jr. and  Trace Adkins. The movie follows three married moms, their husbands, a sister-in-law with a misplaced baby, a tattoo parlor owner, a motorcycle gang and one bewildered cabbie who learn to embrace parenting on a night out gone awry. Kevin Downes (Like Dandelion Dust) is producing the AFFIRM Films and Provident Films production. The comedy will be released this Mother’s Day weekend on May 9, 2014 by Sony Pictures. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Chris Bacon (Source CodeAlpha & Omega, Smash). The soundtrack will be released on April 1, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The full soundtrack details will be posted on this page within the next couple of weeks. Bates Motel is created by Carlton Cuse, Kerry Ehrin & Anthony Cipriano and stars Freddie Highmore, Vera Farmiga, Max Thieriot, Olivia Cooke, Nicola Peltz, Nestor Carbonell  and Mike Vogel. The show is a contemporary prequel to Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho and centers on Norman Bates during his teenage years, his relationship with his mother truly is and how she helped forge the most famous serial killer of them all. The show is created by Jenna Bans (ScandalGrey’s Anatomy) and stars Jennifer Carpenter, Jack Davenport, Jeffrey Nordling, Isabelle Cornish and Christina Chang. The drama is based on the Dutch series Vuurzee and follows three teenage girls who star in an illicit film, which tears their families apart and leads to a disappearance and a murder. unbrokenAlexandre Desplat has been tapped to score the upcoming World War II drama Unbroken. The film marks the second directorial effort of Angelina Jolie and stars Jack O’Connell, Garrett Hedlund, Domhnall Gleeson, Jai Courtney and Finn Wittrock. The movie is based on the book Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption by Laura Hildebrand and tells the true story of Lou Zamperini who was a Los Angeles high school track star who raced in the 1936 Berlin Olympics and whose Air Force plane crashed in the Pacific in 1943, where he survived 47 days without food and water. Danny_Elfman_imageThe 21st Century Symphony Orchestra has announced that Danny Elfman will be attending a series of concerts this March at the KKL Luzern Concert Hall in Lucerne, Switzerland. On March 21, 2014, the concert Danny Elfman’s Music from the Films of Tim Burton will make its premiere in Switzerland. The event, which features the composer’s music for the director’s films such as BatmanNightmare Before Christmas, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, BeetlejuiceSleepy Hollow and Big Fish world premiered last year at London’s Royal Albert Hall and will also be performed in other cities this spring and summer, including Prague, Mexico City, Seattle and San Diego. steven-priceEdgar Wright has announced on Twitter that he will be scoring the director’s upcoming comic book film adaptation of Ant-Man. The film will star Paul Rudd in the title role of Scott Lang/Ant-Man, the superhero who can change size via an invented substance and can communicate with insects. Michael Douglas will be portraying scientist Hank Pym and Michael Pena has also been cast in an undisclosed role. Wright has also co-written the screenplay with Joe Cornish (Attack the Block). Kevin Feige (Iron ManThe AvengersThorCaptain America) is producing the Marvel Studios production. Steven Price Wins BAFTA Award for ‘Gravity’

baftaSteven Price has received his first BAFTA Award for his score for Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity starring Sandra Bullock & George Clooney in the Original Music category. Price accepted the award in person at the British Academy Film Awards ceremony at the Royal Opera House in London. He was nominated alongside Hans Zimmer (12 Years a Slave), John Williams (The Book Thief), Henry Jackman (Captain Phillips) and Thomas Newman (Saving Mr. Banks). The composer has previously received the Critics’ Choice Movie Award and is also up for an Academy Award for his Gravity score.
