Stephanie Economou (Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok, Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken, My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3, Jupiter’s Legacy, Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie, About My Father, The Chair) has ben tapped to score the upcoming HBO original series Lanterns. The show is created by Chris Mundy (Ozark, True Detective), Damon Lindelof (Lost, The Leftovers) & Tom King based on the DC comic characters from Green Lantern and stars Kyle Chandler, Aaron Pierre, Kelly Macdonald, Garret Dillahunt, Laura Linney, Poorna Jagannathan, Jason Ritter, Nathan Fillion, Ulrich Thomsen, J. Alphonse Nicholson and Jasmine Cephas Jones. The DC Studios and Warner Bros. Television production follows new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops, as they investigate a murder in the American heartland. Mundy serves as the project’s showrunner and is executive producing with Lindelof, King, James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, Superman), Peter Safran (Aquaman, The Conjuring), Ron Schmidt (Mare of Easttown, Task), as well as James Hawes (The Amateur, One Life) who also directed the first two episodes. Lanterns will premiere on August 16, 2026 on HBO and will also be available to stream on HBO Max.
