Sony Music has published audio clips from all tracks of the score album for Blue Sky Studios’ animated sequel Rio 2. The film’s music is composed by John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon, The Bourne Trilogy, Shrek) and also features Brazilian singer and guitarist Milton Nascimento, the instrumental group UAKTI and the body percussion group Barbatuques. James Horner to Conduct World Premiere ‘Titanic’ Live Concert

James Horner will be conducting his music for the Academy Award-winning drama Titanic directed by James Cameron and starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet at a live concert on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Royal Albert Hall in London. The composer who received his first two Oscars for both his score and the end credits song My Heart Will Go On in 1998 will conduct a 90-piece orchestra, choir and Celtic musicians whilst the film is projected on the big screen in high definition. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for David Gordon Green’s indie drama Joe. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jeff McIlwain and David Wingo (Mud, Take Shelter) who previously collaborated with the director on Snow Angels and The Sitter, George Washington and All the Real Girls. Also included are two tracks by Explosions in the Sky and Ryan Bingham. The soundtrack will be released on April 22, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Joe is based on a novel by Larry Brown and stars Nicolas Cage, Tye Sheridan, Gary Poulter and Ronnie Gene Blevins. The movie follows a hard-living, hot-tempered, ex-con who meets a hard-luck kid who awakens in him a fierce and tender-hearted protector. Trevor Morris has taken over scoring duties on the upcoming action thriller Brick Mansions. The film is directed by Camille Delamarre and stars Paul Walker, RZA, David Belle and Robert Maillet. The movie is an English language remake of Pierre Morel’s 2004 film District B13 and follows an undercover cop who is tasked with going into a tenement named Brick Mansions in order to disarm a neutron bomb that is ticking down. Luc Besson (Leon: The Professional, The Fifth Element) has written the screenplay and is also producing the project for EuropaCorp. Brian Tyler has officially signed on to score Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Age of Ultron. The film is written and directed by Joss Whedon and reunites the case of the original 2012 film, including Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders and Don Cheadle. James Spader will be portraying Ultron, the main villain in the film, while Elizabeth Olsen has been cast as the Scarlet Witch, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver, Paul Bettany as the Vision and Thomas Kretschmann as Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker.
