The album features the film’s original music composed by Tyler Bates (300WatchmenDawn of the DeadThe Way), combined with pieces of dialogue and soundscapes by Graham Reznick. The soundtrack will be released on May 6, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Sacrament is written and directed by Ti West (The House of the Devil) and stars Joe Swanberg, Amy Selmetz, AJ Bowen, Kate Lyn Shell, Gene Jones and Kentucker Audley. Eli Roth is producing the movie about two Vice media correspondents who set out to document their friend’s search to find his missing sister. The thriller premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and has been picked up by Magnolia Pictures for a domestic release on VOD on May 1 and in select theaters on June 6. Four new movies are opening nationwide this week:

transcendenceOpening in most theaters is the sci-fi thriller Transcendence directed by Wally Pfister and starring Johnny Depp, Paul Bettany, Rebecca Hall, Kate Mara, Cillian Murphy, Clifton Collins, Jr. and Morgan Freeman. Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Little Miss SunshineMoneyball) has composed the film’s original music. heaven-is-for-realAlready in theaters since this past Wednesday is the drama Heaven is for Real directed by Randall Wallace and starring Greg Kinnear, Kelly Reilly, Connor Corum, Margo Martindale and Thomas Haden Church. The film’s original music is composed by Nick Glennie-Smith (We Were SoldiersThe Man in the Iron MaskThe Rock). Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack featuring the composer’s score. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Rachel Portman (The Cider House RulesChocolatEmma). The soundtrack will be released on May 13, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Belle is directed by Amma Asante and stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Tom Wilkinson, Emily Watson, Sarah Gadon, Penelope Wilton, Miranda Richardson, Tom Felton, Sam Reid and Matthew Goode. The movie inspired by the true story of Dido Elizebeth Belle, the illegitimate mixed race daughter of a Royal Navy Admiral, premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and will be released in the U.S. on May 2, 2014 by Fox Searchlight. ‘Walk of Shame’ Soundtrack Details

The album features the songs from the film by such artists as Dave Audé (featuring AKON & Luciana), Marcus Latief Scott (featuring John Costello), Brenna Bishop, Lux Lovelle, Eli “Paperboy” Reed and Scott Spock & Corky James. The soundtrack will be released on April 29, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Walk of Shame is directed by Steven Brill and stars Elizabeth Banks, James Marsden and Gillian Jacobs. The film is directed by Stephen Daldry and stars Rooney Mara, Martin Sheen, Wagner Moura, Selton Mello, Rickson Tevez, Eduardo Luis and Gabriel Weinstein. The movie is set in the Third World and tells the story of three poverty-stricken boys who discover a wallet with a treasure map inside in a city dump. Richard Curtis (Love Actually, Notting Hill) has written the screenplay based on Andy Mulligan’s 2010 novel. Hans Zimmer Composes Hymn for EDM Festival Tomorrowland

imageHans Zimmer has composed the first official hymn for the 10th anniversary of the electronic dance musicmfestival Tomorrowland, which is held every year in the Belgian town of Boom, outside of Brussels. The composer collaborated with Junkie XL (Divergent, 300: Rise of an Empire) and Lorne Balfe (Megamind) on the piece, which was recorded at Air Studios in London. The 2014 edition of Tomorrowland will take place July 18-20 and July 25-27 and the second version of the stateside edition, TomorrowWorld, will be held on September 26-28 in the Chattahoochee Hills outside of Atlanta. The album features the film’s original score composed by Joel McNeely (Holes, The Young Indiana Jones ChroniclesSoldier). The composer recently recorded his orchestral music in Los Angeles and collaborated with the bluegrass band Punch Brothers on a number of cues. The soundtrack will be released on May 27, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The film is written and directed by Nelson and stars Glenn Close, Sam Waterston, Gretchen Mol, Kristen Stewart, Corey Stoll, Katie Chang, Michael K. Williams, Gloria Reuben, Jessica Hecht, Mickey Sumner and K. Todd Freeman. The movie follows a group of New Yorkers whose lives intersect after the violent mugging of a popular Columbia University philosophy professor. Nelson is also producing the project with Julie Buck, Josh Hetzler and Christopher Scott. Danna has previously collaborated with the actor-turned-director on the 2009 comedy drama Leaves of Grass starring Edward Norton and on the 2001 drama O starring Julia Stiles & Josh Hartnett.
