The 4-parter is based on the 2008 novel by Jake Chapman who is also directing the project and stars Rhys Ifans, Sophie Kennedy Clark, Michael Fitzgerald and Noma Dumezweni. The series follows a woman whose dashing surgeon fiancé has given her a desert island as a wedding present and travels to the island to wait for him, but meets a reclusive and misshapen author instead. Colin Vaines is producing the project for Morass Productions. The movie is directed by Ariel Vromen (The Iceman) and stars Kevin Costner, Gary Oldman, Tommy Lee Jones, Ryan Reynolds, Alice Eve and Gal Gadot. The movie is directed by Ridley Scott (GladiatorAlienBlade Runner) and stars Matt Damon, Jeff Daniels, Kate Mara, Michael Pena, Kristen Wiig, Jessica Chastain, Sean Bean, Mackenzie Davis, Kate Mara, Donald Glover, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Sebastian Stan. The film is based on Andy Weir’s 2012 e-book publication and follows an astronaut character who is stranded on Mars and must survive in a brutal environment and find a way to notify NASA that he’s still alive.
