Tim Morrish (The Jetty, One Day, Fifteen-Love, Brassic, Red Rose) has composed the original music for the new ITV drama The Dark. The show is developed by Matt Hartley (Deadpoint) based on GR Halliday’s debut novel From the Shadows by Matt Hartley and stars Laura Donnelly, Mark Rowley and Helen Baxendale. The 6-part thriller follows a detective who embarks on a tense cat and mouse hunt for a twisted serial killer when the body of a young man is found eerily staged in the idyllic Scottish wilderness. Hartley is also executive producing the Poison Pen Studios production with Ben Stephenson (Westworld, Lovecraft Country), Preethi Mavahalli (The War of the Worlds, The City and the City), Luke Woellhaf, Fern McCauley, as well as Gilles Bannier (Blue Lights) who also serves as the project’s lead director. The Dark is premiering in the UK today on ITV and will also be available to stream on ITVX.
