Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the action adventure The 5th Wave. The album features the film’s original music composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, Wreck-It-Ralph, X-Men: First Class, Big Hero 6). The soundtrack will be released on January 8, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The 5th Wave is directed by J Blakeson and stars Chloe Grace Moretz, Nick Robinson, Ron Livingston, Maggie Siff, Alex Roe, Maria Bello, Maika Monroe and Live Schreiber. The movie based on the young adult novel of the same title by Rick Yancey is set in the present day after four waves of increasingly deadly attacks have left most of Earth decimated and follows a 16-year-old girl who is on the run and desperately trying to save her younger brother. Sparks & Shadows Records will release a soundtrack album for the supernatural thriller The Forest. The album features the film’s original music composed by Bear McCreary (The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Outlander). The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 8, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. The Forest is directed by Jason Zada and stars Natalie Dormer, Taylor Kinney, Eoin Macken and Yukiyoshi Ozawa. The thriller produced by David S. Goyer is set in the legendary Aokigahara Forest at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan and tells the story of a young woman who goes in search of her twin sister who has mysteriously disappeared. Michael Brook has been hired to score the upcoming indie drama Tallulah. The film is written and directed by Sian Heder (Orange Is the New Black) and stars Ellen Page, Allison Janney, Tammy Blanchard, Evan Jonigkeit and Uzo Aduba. The movie follows a rootless young woman who takes a toddler from a wealthy, negligent mother and passes the baby off as her own in an effort to protect her. Chris Columbus (Home Alone, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Mrs. Doubtfire) is producing the project with Heather Rae (Frozen River, Ass Backwards), Russell Levine and Todd Traina. ‘The Hateful Eight’ Soundtrack Preview

The Weinstein Company has published the opening track from Quentin Tarantino’s western The Hateful Eight. The track, entitled L’Ultima Diligenza di Red Rock, is written by the film’s composer Ennio Morricone (Once Upon a Time in the West, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, The Untouchables, The Mission). Warner Music will release a soundtrack album for the Spanish romantic drama Palm Trees in the Snow (Palmeras en la niece). The album features the film’s original music composed by Lucas Vidal (Fast & Furious 6, The Raven, The Cold Light of Day, The Quiet Ones) who recorded his score at Abbey Road Studios in London. Also included is the original title song co-written by the composer and performed by Pablo Alborán, as well songs by Yolanda Eyama and Brigitte Emaga.
