WaterTower Music has released the first track from the soundtrack for the upcoming animated feature The Cat in the Hat. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services is The Cat in the Hat Theme Song written by Tim Minchin (Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical, Groundhog Day The Musical), and performed by Fitz (aka Michael Fitzpatrick of Fitz and the Tantrums) & Minchin feat. actor Bill Hader (who stars in the title role). Also listen to the song after the jump. The Cat in the Hat is directed by Erica Rivinoja & Alessandro Carlon and also stars Xochitl Gomez, Matt Berry, Quinta Brunson, Paula Pell, Giancarlo Esposito, Tiago Martinez, America Ferrera, Bowen Yang and Tituss Burgess. The Warner Bros. Animation production (scored by Lorne Balfe) based on the classic Dr. Seuss book will be released in theaters nationwide on November 6, 2026.
