Sony Classical will release a score album for the comedy sequel Barbershop: The Next Cut. The album features the film’s original music composed by Stanley Clarke (Passenger 57, The Transporter, Boyz n the Hood, The Best Man Holiday, Undercover Brother). The soundtrack will be released on May 6, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. As previously reported, Atlantic Records has released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie. Barbershop: The Next Cut is directed by Malcolm D. Lee and stars Ice Cube, Cedric the Entertainer, Regina Hall, Anthony Anderson, Eve, Nicki Minaj, Common and JB Smoove. The third part in the Barbershop series, which follows Eddie and his longtime crew whose once male-dominated sanctuary is now co-ed, is being released nationwide today by Warner Bros. Pictures. ‘Vinyl’ – Best of Season 1 Soundtrack Announced

Atlantic Records will release a new soundtrack album for the HBO original series Vinyl. The album features musical highlights from the show’s first season, including songs by Elvis Costello, Charlie Wilson, Charli XCX, Iggy Pop, Trey Songz, Chris Cornell, The Arcs, Ty Taylor & more. The Essentials: Best of Season 1 soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 15 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring more songs from the drama. Vinyl is created by Terence Winter and stars Bobby Cannavale, Olivia Wilde, Ray Romano, Juno Temple, Ato Essandoh, P. J. Byrne, J. C. MacKenzie, Birgitte Hjort Sørensen and Paul Ben-Victor. The drama executive produced by Martin Scorsese is set in 1970s New York and tells the story of a record executive trying to resurrect his label and find the next new sound. Aaron Zigman is reuniting with director David E. Talbert on the upcoming comedy Almost Christmas. The film is written and directed by Talbert and stars Gabrielle Union, Danny Glover, Mo’Nique, Kimberly Elise, Omar Epps, Romany Malco and Jessie T. Usher. The movie follows an estranged family forced to come together for their first Christmas since the death of the family matriarch. Will Packer (Ride Along, Think Like a Man, The Wedding Ringer, Obsessed) is producing the project through his production company. The details of the soundtrack album for Disney’s new live action movie adaptation of The Jungle Book have been revealed. Milan Records has announced a soundtrack album for Nicolas Winding-Refn’s The Neon Demon. The album features the film’s original music composed by Cliff Martinez (Traffic, Contagion, The Knick) who previously collaborated with the director on Drive and Only God Forgives. Also included is the original track Waving Goodbye performed by Sia, and two songs by Julian Winding (Mine performed by Sweet Tempest and The Demon Dance).
