Premiering on Tuesday, May 12, is Marvel’s Disney+ original special The Punisher: One Last Kill co-written and directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and starring Jon Bernthal, Jason R. Moore and Judith Light. The Marvel Television special presentation’s original music is composed by Kris Bowers (The Wild Robot, Bridgerton, King Richard, Green Book, GOAT, Haunted Mansion, The Color Purple, Dear White People, Spider-Noir, Space Jam: A New Legacy). Also premiering on Tuesday is the Netflix original documentary Marty, Life Is Short directed by Lawrence Kasdan, produced by Sara Bernstein, Meredith Kaulfers, Christopher St. John, Justin Wilkes & Blair Foster about comedian/actor Martin Short. James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, King Kong, The Fugitive, The Sixth Sense, Signs, Maleficent, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, The Village) & Xander Rodzinski (Light & Magic, Willow, Bolt from the Blue, Dead for a Dollar) have composed the film’s original music. ‘Illusione’ Soundtrack Released

Radiofandango has released a soundtrack album for the Italian drama Illusione. The album features the film’s original music composed by Battista Lena (The Day of the Beast, The Hummingbird, Vivere, Hardboiled Egg, La Storia, An Italian Name). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to the composer’s title track after the jump. Illusione is co-written and directed by Francesca Archibugi and stars Jasmine Trinca, Michele Riondino, Angelina Andrei, Francesca Reggiani, Vittoria Puccini, Aurora Quattrocchi and Filippo Timi. The movie follows an intrepid magistrate who investigates a prostitution ring with ties to Eastern Europe and to the European Parliament after a 16-year-old is found almost dead in a ditch on the outskirts of Perugia, Italy. The music collective 1500 or Nothin’ (which includes Grammy Award-winning producer/instrumentalist Larrance Dopson/Rance and singer/songwriter James Fauntleroy) has made its television scoring debut on the new Netflix original series Nemesis. The show is created by Courtney A. Kemp (Power, Power Book II: Ghost) & Tani Marole and stars Matthew Law, Y’lan Noel, Cleopatra Coleman, Gabrielle Dennis, Sophina Brown, Domenick Lombardozzi, Ariana Guerra, Cedric Joe, Jonnie Park and Michael Potts. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the action fantasy adventure Mortal Kombat II directed by Simon McQuoid and starring Karl Urban, Adeline Rudolph, Josh Lawson, Jessica McNamee, Lewis Tan, Mehcad Brooks, Ludi Lin, Damon Herriman, Tati Gabrielle, Tadanobu Asano, Joe Taslim, Chin Han and Hiroyuki Sanada. The film’s original music is composed by Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Alien: Romulus, Twisters, Hidden Figures, Shazam!, The Conjuring: Last Rites, Blade Runner 2049, The Invisible Man) who previously scored the original 2021 movie. WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as a new remix of the Olivier Adams-composed theme song Techno Syndrome from the game (feat. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack EP for Boots Riley’s crime comedy I Love Boosters. The 5-track EP features five songs from the movie performed by lead actress Keke Palmer. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The album features twenty songs from the show, including Bruce Springsteen’s Thunder Road & Born to Run, as well as classic tracks from Santana, The Lovin’ Spoonful, Bob Seger, Earth Wind & Fire, Siouxsie & The Banshees, Tina Turner, Heart, Bill Withers & others.
