Radiofandango has released a soundtrack album for the Italian drama Illusione. The album features the film’s original music composed by Battista Lena (The Day of the BeastThe Hummingbird, Vivere, Hardboiled Egg, La Storia, An Italian Name). Illusione is co-written and directed by Francesca Archibugi and stars Jasmine Trinca, Michele Riondino, Angelina Andrei, Francesca Reggiani, Vittoria Puccini, Aurora Quattrocchi and Filippo Timi. The movie follows an intrepid magistrate who investigates a prostitution ring with ties to Eastern Europe and to the European Parliament after a 16-year-old is found almost dead in a ditch on the outskirts of Perugia, Italy. The drama premiered at last year’s Rome Film Festival and just opened in Italian theaters this weekend. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
