The movie is based on Willy Vlautin’s novel of the same title and follows a fifteen-year-old boy who takes a summer job with a washed-up horse trainer and befriends a failing racehorse named Lean On Pete. The 3-parter is narrated by Meryl Streep tells the story of how Hollywood changed World War II – and vice versa, through the interwoven experiences of five filmmakers who interrupted their successful careers to serve their country: John Ford, William Wyler, John Huston, Frank Capra, and George Stevens. Mute will release a soundtrack album for the Sky Atlantic drama Fortitude. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Ben Frost (Sleeping Beauty, The Deep).
