Michael Andrews has composed the music for the pilot episode of Amazon’s The Legend of Master Legend. The show is created by Micah Fitzerman-Blue & Noah Harpster (Transparent, The Motel Life) and stars John Hawkes, Dawnn Lewis, Shea Whigham and Anjelika Washington. The comedy centers around the life of Frank Lafount, a.k.a. Master Legend – a homemade superhero whose mission is to protect the people of Las Vegas from evil-doers. James Ponsoldt (The Spectacular Now, The End of the Tour, Smashed) has directed the pilot. Fitzerman-Blue and Harpster are also executive producing the project with Youree Henley (20th Century Women, The Bling Ring), Joshuah Bearman and David Klawans (Nacho Libre). The album features music inspired by the movie by artists including new tracks by DJ Shadow, Gary Numan, Johnny Jewel, Above & Beyond and Tricky. Also included is Steve Aoki’s remix of Kenji Kawai’s Utai IV: Reawakening, which is already available as a digital single.
