Madison Gate Records will release the main title theme from the first season of the Hulu original series Shut Eye. The song, Walk on Well Lighted Streets, is written and performed by the show’s creator Leslie Bohem and will be released as a digital single this Wednesday, December 6. Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack release for the 1977 sci-fi drama Damnation Alley directed by Jack Smight and starring Jan-Michael Vincent, George Peppard, Dominique Sanda, Paul Winfield and Jackie Earle Haley. The album features the complete original score from the 20th Century Fox production composed by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (Star Trek: The Motion Picture, The Omen, Patton, Planet of the Apes, L.A. Confidential, Chinatown) and conducted by Lionel Newman. Hauschka (aka Volker Bertelmann) has signed on to score the upcoming survival drama Adrift. The film is directed by Baltasar Kormakur (Everest, 2 Guns, Contraband) and stars Shailene Woodley and Sam Claflin. The movie tells the true story of Tami Oldham, who, after being knocked unconscious by the largest hurricane in the history of the Pacific Ocean, awakens to find her fiancé badly injured, their boat in ruins, and no means of communication or navigation. Gaumont & Légende Films have released a soundtrack album for the French family comedy Santa & Cie. The album features the film’s original music composed by Matthieu Gonet (Madame, Les profs). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples and check out the track list. Santa & Cie is directed by Alain Chabat (Asterix and Obelix Meet Cleopatra, HOUBA! On the Trail of the Marsupilami) and stars Golshifteh Farahani, Audrey Tautou and Pio Marma. The movie follows the journey of Santa Claus when he is forced to travel to Earth to find a cure for his sick elves a few days before Christmas and across a young Parisian family who help him complete his mission. Kevin Lax is scoring the upcoming Netflix original movie Juanita. The film is directed by Clark Johnson (S.W.A.T., The Sentinel) and stars Alfre Woodard, Blair Underwood, Adam Beach, Marcus Henderson and LaTanya Richardson. The drama is based on Sheila Williams’ book Dancing on the Edge of the Roof and centers around a woman who is fed up with her deadbeat grown kids and marginal urban existence and takes a Greyhound bus to Montana, where she reinvents herself and finds her mojo. Roderick Spencer wrote the screenplay. Premiering on Wednesday, December 6, is the History original series Knightfall created by Don Handfield & Richard Rayner and starring Tom Cullen, Bobby Schofield, Sabrina Bartlett, Julian Ovenden, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Padraic Delaney, Simon Merrells and Olivia Ross. The show’s original music is composed by Andy Price (Robin Hood, Law & Order: UK). The drama chronicles the true accounts of the Knights Templar, the elite warriors of the Crusades during the 14th century. Also premiering on Wednesday is the new Syfy original series Happy! developed by Grant Morrison & Brian Taylor and starring Chris Meloni, Lili Mirojnick, Joseph Reitman, as well as Patton Oswalt as the voice of the title character. Blair Mowat (Class) is composing the show’s original music. The series is based on Morrison’s & Darick Robertson’s graphic novel of the same name and follows an intoxicated, corrupt ex-cop turned hit man who is adrift in a world of casual murder, soulless sex and betrayal. John Ottman is attached to compose the music for the upcoming animated series The Gang’s All Here. The show developed by Byron Burton and voice actor Rob Paulsen centers on an animal cast of actors as they star in their own films and navigate the pitfalls of the entertainment industry. Voice actors Kevin Conroy, Cal Dodd and Andrea Romano are also involved in the project. Burton has previously served as an assistant to Ottman and wrote the lyrics to the song Rest Young Child (performed by Michael Fassbender’s Magneto) from X-Men: Apocalypse. Ropeadope Records has released a new soundtrack album featuring music composed by David Cieri (Oklahoma City) from several docu-series directed by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick & produced by Florentine Films. Notes from the Underscore: 10 Years with Florentine Films includes selections of his scores from this year’s PBS series The Vietnam War, 2011’s Prohibition and 2014’s The Roosevelts: An Intimate History. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon and iTunes, where you can also listen to audio samples. No movies are opening nationwide this week.

Opening in New York before being released in Los Angeles next week and in other markets later this month is the fantasy drama The Shape of Water co-written and directed by Guillermo del Toro and starring Sally Hawkins, Michael Shannon, Richard Jenkins, Michael Stuhlbarg, Doug Jones and Octavia Spencer. The film’s original music is composed by Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest HotelThe King’s SpeechHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows). Decca Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as tracks by Andy Williams, Carmen Miranda & more. Click here for the full album details.

Also opening in limited release is the comedy drama The Disaster Artist directed by James Franco who also stars in the movie alongside Dave Franco, Seth Rogen, Josh Hutcherson, Zax Efron, Ari Graynor, Jacki Weaver and Alison Brie. Dave Porter (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Preacher, The Blacklist) has composed the film’s original score.
