A soundtrack album will be released for the Black Mirror episode USS Callister. The album features the music from the first episode of the show’s fourth season composed by Daniel Pemberton (Steve Jobs, Molly’s Game, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., All the Money in the World, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 29 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. USS Callister is directed by Toby Haynes and stars Jesse Plemons, Cristin Milioti, Jimmi Simpson, Michaela Coel and Billy Magnussen. The episode written by Charlie Brooker & William Bridges follows a captain and his trusty crew as they explore the galaxy and the dangers of unknown alien planets and will premiere as part of Black Mirror‘s new season, which will premiere tomorrow on Neflix. The full details of the soundtrack album for the documentary Mully have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Grammy Award and Golden Globe nominee Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Blade Runner 2049, Hidden Figures, Annabelle: Creation, Lights Out). Also included is the original song Love Will Be Your Shelter co-written by the composer and Siedah Garrett. Nate Walcott and Mike Mogis are reteaming with director Josh Boone on the upcoming superhero horror movie The New Mutants. The film starring Anya Taylor-Joy, Maisie Williams, Charlie Heaton, Henry Zaga, Blu Hunt and Alice Braga is based on the X-Men spin-off comic book series of the same title created by Chris Claremont & Bob McLeod and revolves around five young mutants, just discovering their abilities while held in a secret facility against their will, who fight to escape their past sins and save themselves. Zacarías M. de la Riva is scoring the upcoming crime thriller Bent. The film is written and directed by Bobby Moresco (Crash, 10th & Wolf) and stars Karl Urban, Sofia Vergara and Andy Garcia. The full details of the soundtrack album for James Marsh’s drama The Mercy have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Johann Johannsson (Arrival, The Theory of Everything, Sicario, Prisoners). Also included are several tracks from the composer’s studio albums Orphée and Englabörn. The soundtrack will be released on February 2, 2018 by Deutsche Grammophon and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Cezary Skubiszewski has been hired to score the upcoming Amazon original mini-series Picnic at Hanging Rock. The show is based on Joan Lindsay’s Australian novel and stars Natalie Dormer, Lily Sullivan, Madeleine Madden, Samara Weaving, Ruby Rees and Inez Curroas. The 6-parter revolves around the mysterious disappearances of three schoolgirls and one teacher on Valentine’s Day 1900 and the subsequent investigation. Keegan DeWitt is reuniting with director Robert Greene on the upcoming documentary Bisbee ’17. The film centers on an old mining town on the Arizona-Mexico border that finally reckons with its darkest day: the deportation of 1200 immigrant miners exactly 100 years ago. Douglas Tirola (DRUNK STONED BRILLIANT DEAD: The Story of the National Lampoon), Susan Bedusa (Actress) and Bennett Elliott are producing the project. DeWitt has previously scored Greene’s last directorial effort, Kate Plays Christine, and also composed the music for several movies edited by Greene, including Queen of Earth and Golden Exits.
