Dragon’s Domain Records has announced a new soundtrack album featuring the world premiere release of two score composed by Emmy Award winner Arthur B. Rubinstein (WarGames, Nick of Time, Blue Thunder, StakeOut, The Best of Times, The Hard Way, Lost in America, Scarecrow and Mrs. King). Titles include the 1977 CBS movie The Prince of Central Park directed by Harvey Hart, written by Jeb Rosebroo based on Evan Rhodes’ novel and starring T.J. Hargrave, Lisa Richards, Ruth Gordon & Brooke Shields, as well as the 1981 CBS film Rivkin: Bounty Hunter directed by Harry Harris, written by Peter Lefcourt and starring Ron Leibman, Harry Morgan, Verna Bloom, Harold Gary, George Dicenzo, John Getz and Glenn Scarpelli. Expanded ‘8 1/2’ Soundtrack & New Recording of Bernard Herrmann’s ‘The Bride Wore Black’ Score Announced
Quartet Records has announced its latest releases, including an expanded soundtrack album for the 1963 drama 8 1/2 directed by Federico Fellini and starring Marcello Mastroianni, Claudia Cardinale, Anouk Aimée, Sandra Milo and Barbara Steele. The 2-CD features the complete score from the Academy Award-winning film composed by Academy Award winner Nino Rota (The Godfather, Romeo and Juliet, Death on the Nile), including over 20 minutes of previously unreleased music. Intrada Records has announced the world premiere release soundtrack release for the 1993 action comedy sequel Another Stakeout directed by John Badham and starring Richard Dreyfuss, Emilio Estevez and Rosie O’Donnell. The album features the original music from the Touchstone Pictures production composed and conducted by Arthur B. Rubinstein (WarGames, Blue Thunder, The Hard Way, Nick of Time, The Best of Times) who also scored the Badhman’s 1987 original Stakeout movie. Arthur B. Rubinstein (1938 – 2018)
Arthur B. Rubinstein has passed away yesterday, April 23, at age 80. The composer is best known for his work on numerous films directed by John Badham, including the 1983 classic WarGames, 1983’s Blue Thunder starring Roy Scheider, 1987’s StakeOut starring Richard Dreyfuss & Emilio Estevez and its 1993 sequel, 1991’s The Hard Way starring Michael J. Fox and 1995’s Nick of Time starring Johnny Depp, among other titles.

La-La Land Records will release a new soundtrack album for the 1995 action thriller Nick of Time directed by John Badham and starring Johnny Depp, Christopher Walken and Charles S. Dutton. The album features the expanded and remastered score from the Paramount Pictures production composed and conducted by Arthur B. Rubinstein (Blue Thunder, Wargames, Scarecrow and Mrs. King), including more than 30 minutes of previously unreleased music. The CD is limited to 1500 copies.
