La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the sci-fi series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The Volume 2 albums features 4 CDs including original music from the classic TV show by composers Dennis McCarthy (Star Trek: Generations), Jay Chattaway (Star Trek: The Next Generation), David BellGregory Smith & Paul Baillargeon (Star Trek: Enterprise). La-La Land Records has previously released the first Star Trek: Deep Space Nine soundtrack collection back in 2013.

Anna Meredith is scoring the upcoming comedy Eighth Grade. The marks the feature directorial debut of Bo Burnham and stars Elsie Fisher and Josh Hamilton. The movie revolves around a thirteen-year-old girl who endures the tidal wave of contemporary suburban adolescence as she makes her way through the last week of middle school before she begins high school. The film is written and directed by Robert Krzykowski and stars Sam Elliot, Aidan Turner, Caitlin FitzGerald, Ellar Coltrane and Ron Livingston. The movie is set in 1987 and follows Calvin Barr who, decades after serving in World War II and assassinating Adolf Hitler, is contacted to lead the charge on hunting down the fabled Bigfoot who is hidden deep inside the Canadian wilderness.
