The only movie opening nationwide this weekend is the thriller Inferno directed by Ron Howard and starring Tom Hanks, Felicity Jones, Irrfan Khan, Omar Sy, Ben Foster and Sidse Babett Knudsen. The film’s original music is composed by Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Gladiator, The Lion King, Inception, Rain Man, Black Hawk Down). Opening in limited release is the documentary Gimme Danger directed by Jim Jarmusch about the rock-n-roll band The Stooges. The movie doesn’t feature any original score and no soundtrack album has been released. The film recounts the hard-rocking history of Iggy Pop and The Stooges, who burst out of Michigan in the late ’60s with a savage and endlessly influential fusion of rock, blues, R&B, and free jazz.
