Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the animated feature Wonder Park written and produced by Josh Applebaum & Andre Nemec and featuring the voices of Jennifer Garner, Matthew Broderick, John Oliver, Mila Kunis and Ken Jeong. The film’s original score is composed by  Steven Price (Gravity, Suicide Squad, Baby Driver). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Also opening wide is the romantic drama Five Feet Apart directed by Justin Baldoni and starring  Haley Lu Richardson, Cole Sprouse, Moises Arias, Kimberly Hébert Gregory, Paraminder Nagra and Claire Forlani. Brian Tyler (Fast & Furious, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Crazy Rich Asians, Iron Man 3) & Breton Vivian have composed the film’s original music. ‘No Manches Frida 2’ Soundtrack Released

David Schwartz Tapped as New Composer of HBO’s ‘Veep’

David Schwartz (Arrested Development, The Good Place, Northern Exposure) is the new composer of the HBO original series Veep. He is scoring the seventh and final season of the political comedy created by Armando Iannucci and starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Matt Walsh, Reid Scott, Kevin Dunn, Gary Cole, Timothy Simons and Sam Richardson. David Mandel (Curb Your Enthusiasm, EuroTrip) serves as the showrunner of the new season and is executive producing the project with Frank Rich (Succession), Louis-Dreyfus, Lew Morton and Morgan Sackett (Parks and Recreation). ‘The Hummingbird Project’ Soundtrack Released

Filmtrax has released a soundtrack album for the thriller The Hummingbird Project. The album features the film’s original music composed by Yves Gourmeur. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The Hummingbird Project is written and directed by Kim Nguyen and stars Jesse Eisenberg, Alexander Skarsgård, Salma Hayek and Michael Mando. The movie follows two scheming cousins as they try to build a thousand-mile-long, four-inch-wide tunnel from Kansas to New Jersey that will give them a one-millisecond edge on transactions at the New York Stock Exchange. ‘RoboCop 2’ & ‘Dreamcatcher’ Deluxe Edition Soundtrack Albums Announced

Varese Sarabande has announced the newest titles in its CD Club series, including a deluxe soundtrack edition for the 1990 action sequel RoboCop 2 directed by Irvin Kershner and starring Peter Weller, Nancy Allen, Dan O’Herlihy, Belinda Bauer, Tom Noonan and Gabriel Damon. The album features the expanded original score from the Orion Pictures production composed and conducted by Leonard Rosenman (Beneath The Planet of the Apes, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Fantastic Voyage), including over 40 minutes of previously unreleased music. The soundtrack, which is limited to 1,500 copies is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. Soundtrack for Pixar’s ‘Purl’ Released

Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album for the Pixar animated short Purl. The album features the film’s original music composed by Pinar Toprak (Captain Marvel, Krypton, The Angel, The River Murders, The Wind Gods). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Purl is written and directed by Kristen Lester, produced by Gillian Libbert-Duncan, and features an earnest ball of yarn named Purl who gets a job in a fast-paced, high energy, bro-tastic start-up, where she gets ignored by her fellow employees. The short, which is the first of Pixar’s SparkShorts program, opened at Disney’s El Capitan Theater in January and is now available to stream on YouTube. Watch the full short after the jump. Columbia Records has released the two original songs from the animated feature Wonder Park, including Wonder performed by Rachel Platten and written by Anne Preven & the film’s composer Steven Price (Gravity, Suicide Squad). Also released as a single today is Hideaway written by Jonny Shorr, Katie Stump, Emily Kocontes and Will Jay and performed by Grace VanderWaal. Visit Amazon to download the track. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the ITV mini-series Butterfly. The album features the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award winners Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein (Stranger Things, Valley of the Boom, Native Son). The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 22, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Butterfly is created by Tony Marchant and stars Anna Friel, Emmett J. Scanlan, Alison Steadman, Sean McGinley and Callum Booth-Ford. ‘The Highwaymen’ Soundtrack Details

Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the Netflix original movie The Highwaymen. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Thomas Newman (American Beauty, The Shawshank Redemption, Skyfall, Finding Nemo, Road to Perdition, Wall-E). The album features the film’s original music composed by Rolfe Kent (Sideways, Election, Up in the Air, Wedding Crashers, Legally Blonde, About Schmidt). The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 29 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Stan & Ollie is directed by Jon S. Baird and stars Steve Coogan, John C. Reilly, Nina Arianda and Shirely Henderson.  The movie follows Laurel & Hardy, one of the world’s great comedy teams, as they set out on a variety hall tour of Britain in 1953.
