Mutant has announced a vinyl edition of the soundtrack album for the post-apocalyptic horror movie 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple directed by Nia DaCosta, written by Alex Garland and starring Ralph Fiennes, Jack O’Connell, Alfie Williams, Erin Kellyman and Chi Lewis-Parry. The album features the film’s original music composed by Hildur Guđnadóttir (Joker, Chernobyl, Tar, Women Talking, A Haunting in Venice, Sicario: Day of the Soldado, The Bride!, Hedda). The limited vinyl edition will be released this fall and now available for pre-order on Amazon. Milan Records has previously released the digital version this past January.

‘Hedda’ Soundtrack EP Details
Milan Records will release a second soundtrack for the drama Hedda. The EP features four cover songs from the movie: Gopher Mambo (originally written by Billy May & Conrad Gozzo), Crazy She Calls Me (written by Sidney Keith Russell & Carl Sigman), It’s Oh So Quiet (written by Hans Lang & Bert Reisfeld) and Teach Me Tonight (written by Sammy Cahn), all of which are performed by Mariam Wallentin. Hildur Guđnadóttir (Joker, Chernobyl, A Haunting in Venice, Women Talking, Tar, Sicario: Day of the Soldado) is set to score the upcoming horror sequel 28 Years Later Part II: The Bone Temple. The second part of a planned new trilogy is directed by Nia DaCosta (The Marvels,Candyman) and written by Alex Garland (Ex Machina, Civil War) & Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire, Trainspotting) who scripted and directed the original 2002 28 Days Later movie (scored by John Murphy) and the first part of the new trilogy (28 Years Later, to be released in theaters on June 20, 2025). No casting announcements have been made yet, but Cillian Murphy is believed to reprise his role of Jim from the original film in both new installments.

The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 8 by Hollywood Records & Marvel Music and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. A first track (Higher. Further. Faster. Together) has already been released as a digital single last Friday. The Marvels is co-written and directed by Nia DaCosta and stars Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton, Gary Lewis, Seo-Jun Park, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur and Saagar Shaikh. Hildur Guđnadóttir to Score Nia DaCosta’s ‘Hedda Gabler’
Hildur Guđnadóttir (Joker, Chernobyl, Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Tar) is attached to score the upcoming drama Hedda Gabler. The film is written and directed by Nia DaCosta (Candyman, The Marvels) and will star Tessa Thompson in the title role. The movie is based on Henrik Ibsen’s famed 1891 stage play and follows the titular character as she navigates a house she does not want, a marriage she feels trapped in and an ex-lover who has reappeared in her life.
Laura Karpman to Score Nia DaCosta’s ‘The Marvels’
Variety is reporting that Laura Karpman (Lovecraft Country, Set It Up, Step, Paris Can Wait, Why We Hate, Underground) has signed on to score Marvel Studios’ upcoming Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels. The film is directed by Nia DaCosta (Candyman, Little Woods) and stars Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, as well as Zawe Ashton. No plot details have been announced yet. Megan McDonnell wrote the screenplay.
‘Candyman’ Soundtrack Album Details
The full details of the soundtrack album for the Candyman reboot have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, August 27 by Waxwork Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A vinyl and CD version will be available to order on the label’s website on the same day. A first track from the score (Rows and Towers) has previously been released last week and a second track (The Sweet) is now available to stream/download here. Candyman is co-written and directed by Nia DaCosta and stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Teyonah Parris, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett and Colman Domingo. The movie co-written and produced by Jordan Peele is set a decade after the last of the Cabrini towers were torn down and follows a visual artist who moves into a luxury loft condo in Cabrini, now gentrified beyond recognition, where a chance encounter with a Cabrini Green old-timer exposes him to the tragically horrific nature of the true story behind Candyman.
