Lotus Production has released a soundtrack album for the Italian drama The Best Years (Gli anni più belli). The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Nicola Piovani (Life Is Beautiful, The Tiger and the Snow, The Traitor, Pinocchio). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. The Best Years is directed by Gabriele Muccino (The Pursuit of Happyness) and stars Pierfrancesco Favino, Micaela Ramazzotti, Kim Rossi Stuart, Claudio Santamaria, Nicoletta Romanoff and Emma Marrone. The movie follows three childhood friends and the woman they all fall for at one point in their lives, over the course of 40 years of recent Italian history. The drama was released in Italian theaters last month and will open in other European markets over the next couple of months. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
