Disasterpeace (aka Rich Vreeland) (It Follows) has recently composed the music for the upcoming Netflix original movie Triple Frontier. The film is directed by J.C. La-La Land Records has announced the details of the 20th Anniversary expanded soundtrack album for Terrence Malick’s 1998 drama The Thin Red Line starring Sean Penn, Adrien Brody and Woody Harrelson. The 4-CD set features the expanded and remastered Academy Award-nominated music from the 20th Century Fox production composed by Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Gladiator, Inception, The Lion King), including the film score as written in chronological film order on the first two discs, the remastered original 1999 soundtrack album on the third disc and RCA’s album of Melanesian chants from the movie on the fourth disc. A soundtrack album has been released for the French drama Claire Darling (La dernière folie de Claire Darling). The album features the film’s original music composed by Olivier Daviaud (The Rabbi’s Cat). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio clips. Claire Darling is co-written and directed by Julie Bertuccelli and stars Catherine Deneuve and Chiara Mastroianni. The movie centers on a woman who, convinced after hearing voices that it’s her last day on Earth, decides to have a garage sale to get rid of all the objects she has collected. Vampire Weekend bassist Chris Baio and the Austin, TX-based rock & roll band Burgess Meredith have composed the original music for the upcoming indie comedy Frances Ferguson. The film is directed by Bob Byington and stars Kaley Wheless, Nick Offerman, Keith Poulson, David Krumholtz, Martin Starr, Jennifer Prediger, Bill Wise, John Gatins, Dante Harper and Megan Jerabek. Scott King (SMILF, Difficult People) wrote the screenplay.  Read the rest of this entry »

Music Box Records has announced a soundtrack album for Francois Ozon’s drama By the Grace of God (Grâce à Dieu). The album features the film’s original music composed by Evgueni Galperine & Sacha Galperine (Loveless, The Family, The Wizard of Lies, Madame Bovary). The CD version is now available to order on the label’s official website and the digital version (coming out on February 15) will be available to download here. ‘Zog’ Soundtrack Released

Magic Light Pictures has released a soundtrack album for the BBC animated holiday special Zog. The album features the original music from the short composed by René Aubry (The GruffaloThe Gruffalo’s Child, The Highway RatUnder the Bombs). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Zoë is directed by Max Lang & Daniel Snaddon and stars Sir Lenny Henry, Hugh Skinner, Tracey Ullman, Patsy Ferran and Kit Harington. The film is based on the book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler and tells the story of a clumsy young dragon who longs to win a gold star at Dragon School. Premiering on Tuesday, February 5, is the BET original series American Soul created by Devon Greggory & Jonathan Prince and starring Sinqua Walls, Jason Dirden, Iantha Richardson, Christopher Jefferson, Katlyn Nichol and Jelani Winston. The show’s original music is composed by Kurt Farquhar (Black Lightning, The King of QueensStitchers, The Neighborhood). Premiering on Friday, February 8, is the Hulu original series PEN15 created by Maya Erskine, Anna Konkle & Sam Zvibleman and starring Erskine & Konkle themselves. Leo Birenberg (Cobra Kai, Son of Zorn, Kung Fu Panda: Paws of Destiny) is composing the show’s original music. The comedy executive produced by Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer & Jorma Taccone of The Lonely Island follows two thirteen-year-old outcasts in the year 2000. Giacchino accepted his award in person at tonight’s 46th Annie Awards at UCLA’s Royce Hall. Joseph Stephens is set to score the upcoming HBO original series The Righteous Gemstones. The show is created by Danny McBride who also stars in the series, alongside John Goodman, Edi Patterson, Adam Devine, Cassidy Freeman, Tony Cavalero, Tim Baltz and GregAlan Williams. The comedy revolves around a world-famous televangelist family with a long tradition of deviance, greed and charitable work – all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
