Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for the animated feature Curious George: Royal Monkey. The album features the film’s original score composed by Germaine Franco (Dora and the Lost City of Gold, Tag, Dope, Vida) . Also included is a new original song written, performed and produced by Andy Grammer, as well as four other original songs written by Michele Brourman and Amanda McBroom and performed by Rob Trow. The soundtrack will be released this Friday, September 6 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Michael Giacchino to Score David Silverman’s ‘Extinct’

Michael Giacchino has been hired to score the upcoming animated adventure comedy Extinct. He will be co-scoring the project with his son, Mick Giacchino. The film is directed by David Silverman (The Simpsons Movie, Monsters, Inc.) and features the voices of Adam Devine, Rachel Bloom, Zazie Beetz, Ken Jeong, Jim Jefferies, Catherine O’Hara, Reggie Watts and Alex Borstein. The movie follows two donut-shaped animals called flummels as they accidentally time-travel from 1835 to modern-day Shanghai where they discover traffic, trans fats, and the fact that flummels have become extinct. Endeavor Content and Black Ink Presents have announced a one-night only performance of Paramount Pictures’ Rocketman: Live in Concert on October 17, 2019 at the historic Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. The event will feature the Hollywood Symphony Orchestra playing live-to-picture all the songs from the film during a special screening of the biographical musical drama Rocketman. The film’s subject, Elton John, and Taron Egerton, who portrayed John in the movie, will join the orchestra for a special performance. John Beal will conduct the Hollywood Symphony Orchestra. Netflix has announced that Toby Chu (Bao, Unforgettable, Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return, Covert Affairs) is scoring the upcoming animated series Centaurworld. The show is created by Megan Nicole Dong (Pinky Malinky) and revolves around a hardened war horse that is transported away from battle and finds herself in a land that’s inhabited by silly, singing centaurs of all shapes and sizes.
