Four new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the live-action adventure comedy Sonic the Hedgehog directed by Jeff Fowler and starring James Marsden, Ben Schwartz, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Neal McDonough, Adam Pally and Jim Carrey. The film’s original music is composed by  Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Mad Max: Fury Road, Deadpool, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Alita: Battle Angel, Terminator: Dark Fate). Paramount Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score digitally today. La-La Land Records will release a CD version soon. Also opening wide is the supernatural horror thriller Blumhouse’s Fantasy Island directed by Jeff Wadlow and starring Michael Peña, Maggie Q, Lucy Hale, Austin Stowell, Jimmy O. Yang, Portia Doubleday, Ryan Hansen and Michael Rooker. Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, 10 Cloverfield Lane, The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, Outlander) has composed the film’s original music. Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. ‘A Simple Wedding’ Soundtrack Released

Project SmyL has released a soundtrack album for the romantic comedy A Simple Wedding. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nima Fakhrara (The Signal, Detroit: Become Human, The Pyramid, The Girl in the Photographs). A Simple Wedding is co-written and directed by Sara Zandieh and stars Tara Grammy, Christopher O’Shea, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Rita Wilson, Maz Jabroni, Peter Mackenzie, James Eckhouse, Houshang Touzie and Jaleh Modjallel. John Frizzell Scoring Fox’s ‘Duncanville’

John Frizzell (Alien: Resurrection, Dante’s Peak, Office Space, Beavis and Butthead Do America) is composing the original score for the new Fox animated comedy Duncanville. The show is created by Mike Scully (The Simpsons), Julie Scully & Amy Poehler and stars Poehler herself, Ty Burrell, Riki Lindhome, Betsy Sodaro, Yassir Lester and Zach Cherry. Rashida Jones, Wiz Khalifa and Joy Osmanski are guest starring. The series centers around a spectacularly average 15-year-old boy with a rich fantasy life, and the people in his world. Mike and Julie Scully & Poehler are also executive producing the 20th Century Fox Television, Universal Television and FOX Entertainment production with Dave Becky (Master of None, Baskets). ‘Emma’ Soundtrack Album Released

The song is written and performed by Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Billie Eilish and produced by her brother FINNEAS alongside Stephen Lipson. The album features a selection of songs from the show’s first season by such artists as Thomas Doherty, Blondie, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Darondo, Dexys Midnight Runners, William Onyeabor, Ann Peebles and Silk Rhodes.
