WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for tonight’s special musical episode of The CW drama Katy Keene, entitled Kiss of the Spider Woman. The album features the songs from the seventh episode of the show (originally written for the stage musical by John Kander & Fred Ebb) performed by cast members including Lucy Hale, Ashleigh Murray, Jonny Beauchamp, Julia Chan, Nathan Lee Graham, Daphne Rubin Vega and Candace Maxwell. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 20 and will be available to stream/download here. The label has previously released the songs from the first season of the show weekly as digital EPs and singles. Katy Keene is developed by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa & Michael Grassi based on the Archie Comics characters and also stars Katherine LaNasa, Lucien Laviscount, Zane Holtz and Camille Hyde. Composer Laura Karpman (Underground, Step, Set It Up, Taken, Black Nativity) is reteaming with director Eleanor Coppola on the upcoming romantic comedy drama Love is Love is Love. The film stars Maya Kazan, Joanne Whalley, Chris Messina, Kathy Baker, Marshall Bell, Cybill Shepherd, Rita Wilson, Rosanna Arquette, Polly Draper, Alyson Reed, Valarie Pettiford, Elea Oberon and Nancy Carlin. The movie tells three different stories, including a tale of a married couple that finds an unconventional way to transcend long distance through technology, another couple that tries to reignite their honeymoon-phase heat through a spontaneous sailing trip and a third about a disparate group brought through tragic loss for a memorial meal. Waxwork Records has announced the world premiere release of the complete score for the 1988 horror sequel Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood directed by John Carl Buechler and starring Lar Park Lincoln, Kevin Blair, Susan Blu, Terry Kiser and Kane Hodder. The album features the film’s original music composed by Harry Manfredini (House, Wishmaster, Swamp Thing) who composed the music for all the previous movies in the franchise and Fred Mollin (Fast Company, Screwballs II) who also scored Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan.
