The details of the new soundtrack album for the HBO original series My Brilliant Friend have been revealed. The album features selections of the music from the second season of the show composed by Max Richter (The Leftovers, Ad Astra, Mary Queen of Scots, Hostiles, Waltz with Bashir, Miss Sloane, Taboo). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 1 by Deutsche Grammophon and will be availabl to stream/download on Amazon. The label has previously released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score from Season 1. My Brilliant Friend based on the bestselling books by Elena Ferrante is co-written and directed by Saverio Costanzo and stars Elisa Del Genio, Ludovica Nasti, Margherita Mazzucco and Gaia Girace. ‘Mystery Men’ Score Album Announced

La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere score album release for the 1999 superhero action comedy Mystery Men directed by Kinka Usher and starring Ben Stiller, Janeane Garofalo, Hank Azaria, Claire Forlani, Eddie Izzard, Greg Kinnear, William H. Macy, Kel Mitchell, Lena Olin, Paul Reubens, Geoffrey Rush, Wes Studi and Tom Waits. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Stephen Warbeck (Shakespeare in Love, Quills, Proof, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin), as well as additional music by Shirley Walker (Final Destination, Memoirs of an Invisible Man, Batman: The Animated Series). Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album for the documentary Sanctuary (Santuario). The album features the film’s original music composed by Fernando Velazquez (The Impossible, A Monster Calls, Mama, Crimson Peak, Devil, The Orphanage) and Alfred Tapscott (Hasta que la boda nos separe). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also listen to audio clips. Sanctuary is directed by Álvaro Longoria and tells the story of a campaign to preserve the Antarctic Ocean by Greenpeace. The movie is produced by and features Spanish actors and brothers Carlos Bardem and Oscar winner Javier Bardem who currently act as Antarctic ambassadors, to preserve the Southern Ocean and are using the tools at their disposal to achieve mass awareness and support for this initiative. Netflix’s ‘A Week Away’ to Feature Original Songs by Adam Watts and Original Score by Benjamin Backus

Netflix announced today that the upcoming faith-based musical A Week Away will feature three original songs written by Adam Watts (High School Musical series). Watts also serves as the music producer of the movie, which also features reimagined songs from some of the biggest hits in Contemporary Christian Music history. Benjamin Backus is composing the project’s score. The film is directed by Roman White and stars Bailee Madison, Kevin Quinn, Sherri Shepherd, David Koechner, Jahbril Cook, Kat Conner Sterling and Iain Tucker. Arista Records will release the official soundtrack album for the Netflix limited series The Eddy. The album features the original songs from the show written by Academy Award nominees Glen Ballard (The Polar Express) and Randy Kerber (The Color Purple) and performed by the drama’s cast. The film is directed by Miguel Sapochnik (Game of Thrones, Repo Men) and stars Tom Hanks, Caleb Landry Jones, Samira Wiley, Laura Harrier and Skeet Ulrich. The movie is set in a post-apocalyptic world and follows an ailing inventor who builds a robot to keep his beloved dog safe and embarks upon an epic cross-country journey to teach his creation to become “human.” Craig Luck and Ivor Powell wrote the screenplay.
