John Frizzell (Alien: Resurrection, Dante’s Peak, Office Space, Beavis and Butthead Do America) is composing the original score for the new Fox animated comedy Duncanville. The show is created by Mike Scully (The Simpsons), Julie Scully & Amy Poehler and stars Poehler herself, Ty Burrell, Riki Lindhome, Betsy Sodaro, Yassir Lester and Zach Cherry. Rashida Jones, Wiz Khalifa and Joy Osmanski are guest starring. The series centers around a spectacularly average 15-year-old boy with a rich fantasy life, and the people in his world. Mike and Julie Scully & Poehler are also executive producing the 20th Century Fox Television, Universal Television and FOX Entertainment production with Dave Becky (Master of None, Baskets).

Soundtrack Album for BBC’s & PBS Masterpiece’s ‘World on Fire’ Released
Dubois Records has released a soundtrack album for the BBC drama World on Fire . The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Dan Jones (On Chesil Beach, Shadow of the Empire, Any Human Heart, Lady Macbeth, The Miniaturist). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. World on Fire is written by Peter Bowker and stars Julia Brown, Yrsa Daley-Ward, Sean Bean, Lesley Manville, Jonah Hauer-King, Helen Hunt, Blake Harrison, Zofia Wichłacz, Brian J. Smith, Parker Sawyers, Tomasz Kot, Bruno Alexander, Patrick Kennedy, Johannes Zeiler and Eugénie Derouand. The World War II drama follows the intertwining fates of ordinary people in five countries as they grapple with the effects of the war on their everyday lives.
Soundtrack Album for Hulu’s ‘High Fidelity’ TV Series to Be Released
Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album for the Hulu original series High Fidelity. The album features a selection of songs from the show’s first season by such artists as Thomas Doherty, Blondie, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Darondo, Dexys Midnight Runners, William Onyeabor, Ann Peebles and Silk Rhodes. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 14 and will be available to stream/download here. High Fidelity is developed by Sarah Kucserka & Veronica West based on Nick Hornby’s 1995 book and Stephen Frears’ 2000 feature and stars Zoë Kravitz, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, David H. Holmes, Jake Lacy and Kingsley Ben-Adir.
Tony Morales to Score Quibi’s ‘The Fugitive’
Tony Morales (Bloodline, The Bag Man, An Actor Prepares, In Your Eyes) has been tapped to score the upcoming Quibi original series The Fugitive. The shortform drama is created by Nick Santora (Scorpion, Prison Break) based on the Harrison Ford-starring 1993 feature of the same title (scored by James Newton Howard) and stars Kiefer Sutherland, Boyd Holbrook, Natalie Martinez, Brian Geraghty, Genesis Rodriguez, Tiya Sircar and Keilani Arellanes. The show follows a blue collar worker who is being accused of bombing the Los Angeles subway train he’s riding on and must prove his innocence by uncovering the real perpetrator. Stephen Hopkins (24, Predator 2) is directing the series and is also executive producing the Thunder Road Films, 3 Arts Entertainment and Warner Bros. TV production with Santora, Basil Iwanyk (John Wick, Sicario), Tom Lassally (Edge of Tomorrow, Stay) and Albert Torres.
Nathaniel Mechaly Scoring ‘Shadowplay’ TV Series
Nathaniel Mechaly (Taken, The Grandmaster, Colombiana, Shut In) is composing the music for the upcoming TV series Shadowplay. The show is created by Måns Mårlind (Underworld Awakening, The Bridge) and stars Taylor Kitsch, Michael C. Hall, Nina Hoss, Sebastian Koch, Tuppence Middleton, Logan Marshall-Green and Mala Emde. The thriller follows an American cop who arrives in Berlin in the summer of 1946 to help create a police force in the chaotic aftermath of the war. Mårlind is also executive producing the Tandem, BRON Studios and ZDF production with Rola Bauer (Take Two, Crossing Lines), Jonas Bauer (The Pillars of the Earth), Tim Halkin (World Without End), Jim Gillespie (I Know What You Did Last Summer) and Aaron L. Gilbert (Bombshell, Tully), Steven Thibault & David Davoli.
Mark Isham & Isabella Summers Scoring Hulu’s ‘Little Fires Everywhere’
Composer Mark Isham (Crash, Once Upon a Time, A River Runs Through It, The Accountant, Miracle) is teaming up with Florence + the Machine member Isabella Summers to score the upcoming Hulu limited series Little Fires Everywhere. The show is created by Liz Tigelaar (Life Unexpected, Casual) and stars Reese Witherspoon, Kerry Washington, Joshua Jackson, Rosemarie DeWitt, Jade Pettyjohn, Jordan Elsass, Gavin Lewis, Megan Stott, Lexi Underwood and Huang Lu. The drama is based on Celeste Ng’s 2017 bestseller of the same title and follows the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic mother and daughter who upend their lives.
Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans Scoring HBO’s ‘The Scheme’
Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Boy Erased, The Gift, Ozark, Enemy, Fear the Walking Dead) have composed the original music for the upcoming HBO documentary The Scheme. The film is directed by Pat Kondelis (Disgraced) and tells the story of Christian Dawkins who was convicted in federal court in the biggest criminal case in collegiate sports history. The movie chronicles the extensive two-year undercover FBI investigation into college basketball corruption that came to a dramatic climax in 2017 when Adidas executives and assistant coaches at major college programs were arrested in a pay-for-play scheme.
Oli Julian Scoring FX on Hulu’s ‘Breeders’ & Sky’s ‘Code 404’
Oli Julian (Sex Education, Catastrophe, Episodes, Plebs) is the composer of the upcoming FX on Hulu original series Breeders. The show is created by Simon Blackwell (Back), Chris Addison (Veep, The Hustle) & Martin Freeman and stars Freeman himself, Daisy Haggard, George Wakeman, Jayda Eyles, Michael McKean, Joanna Bacon and Alun Armstrong. The comedy explores the lives of a couple as they juggle full-time careers, aging parents, a mortgage and the unenviable curveballs of parenting their young children.

The comedy is inspired by Nick Hornby’s 1995 book and Stephen Frears’ 2000 feature of the same title and follows a female record store owner in the rapidly gentrified neighborhood of Crown Heights, Brooklyn who revisits past relationships through music and pop culture, while trying to get over her one true love.
