Danny BensiSaunder Jurriaans (Boy ErasedThe GiftOzark, Enemy, Fear the Walking Dead) have composed the original music for the upcoming HBO documentary The Scheme. The film is directed by Pat Kondelis (Disgraced) and tells the story of Christian Dawkins who was convicted in federal court in the biggest criminal case in collegiate sports history. The movie chronicles the extensive two-year undercover FBI investigation into college basketball corruption that came to a dramatic climax in 2017 when Adidas executives and assistant coaches at major college programs were arrested in a pay-for-play scheme. Kondelis is also executive producing the Bat Bridge Entertainment production with Michael H. Rockafellow, Stephen L. Germer, Jody M. Wingrove and Rudy Cline Thomas. The Scheme will debut on March 31, 2020 on HBO following a premiere earlier in March at the 2020 SXSW Film Festival.

Bensi’s other upcoming projects include Dave Franco’s The Rental and Antonio Campos’ The Devil All the Time. They have also recently scored the thriller The Lodge, which is currently playing in limited release, the HBO limited series The Outsider, which currently airs every Sunday night and are returning to score the third season of Netflix’s Ozark, which will premiere on March 27.
