Leo Birenberg & Zach Robinson have won their first Emmy Award for their score for The Roku Channel original movie Weird: The Al Yankovic Story in the Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited or Anthology Series, Movie, or Special category at today’s first night of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles. Cristobal Tapia de Veer has picked up his third Emmy Award for his music from the Season 2 episode In the Sandbox from HBO’s The White Lotus in the Outstanding Music Composition for a Series category and Danny Elfman won the Emmy in the Original Main Title Theme Music category for Netflix’s Wednesday.

‘Obliterated’ Soundtrack Album Details
Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Obliterated. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominees Leo Birenberg & Zach Robinson (Cobra Kai, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Florida Man, Twisted Metal, Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin). Also included is remix of the composers’ track Party Bus by Italian DJ Benny Benassi (already out now as a digital single on all major digital music services and also embedded below). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 1 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Obliterated is created by Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg & Josh Heald and stars Shelley Hennig, Nick Zano, Terrence Terrell, C. Thomas Howell, Paola Lázaro, Kimi Rutledge, Eugene Kim, Alyson Gorske and Carl Lumbly. The action comedy follows a special forces team after a night of partying in the Sin City who must sober up to save Las Vegas.

Premiering today is the Hulu limited series Faraway Downs co-written and directed by Baz Luhrmann and starring Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, Ben Mendelsohn and Brandon Walters and Bryan Brown. The reimagined version of the 2008 feature Australia is scored by Kara Talve (Prehistoric Planet, The Tatooist of Auschwitz, The Simpsons) for Bleeding Fingers Music. Sony Music Australia has released a soundtrack album featuring Budjerah’ & Matt Corb’sy theme song The Way, as well as other songs from the show earlier this week. Premiering in the U.S. tomorrow, November 27, is the British miniseries Steeltown Murders written by Ed Whitmore and starring Philip Glenister, Steffan Rhodri, Keith Allen, Sharon Morgan, Scott Arthur, Siôn Alun Davies and Priyanga Burford. Sarah Warne (Humans, Time, Des, The Drowning, Hollington Drive, Dark Money) has composed the show’s original music. Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past June. The show’s original music is composed by Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, The Dark Knight, Dune, Gladiator) and David Fleming (The Last of Us, Hillbilly Elegy). Zach Robinson Scoring Hulu’s & Peacock’s ‘Fright Krewe’
Zach Robinson (Cobra Kai, Twisted Metal, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Florida Man, Wrestlers, Good Sam) is composing the original music for the new Hulu/Peacock animated horror series Fright Krewe. The show is created by Eli Roth (Hostel, The House with a Clock in Its Walls) & James Grey (Queen & Slim, A Million Little Pieces) and features the voices of Sydney Mikayla, Tim Johnson Jr., Chester Rushing, Grace Lu, Terrence Little Gardenhigh & Jacques Colimon. The DreamWorks Animation Television production follows a group of misfit teens who are put in charge of saving New Orleans from the biggest demonic threat it’s faced in almost two centuries.

The show is created by Jon Hurwitz & Hayden Schlossberg (Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle) and Josh Heald (Hot Tub Time Machine) and stars Shelley Hennig, Nick Zano, C. Thomas Howell, Paola Lázaro, Kimi Rutledge, Terrence Terrell, Eugene Kim and Alyson Gorske. The action comedy follows a special forces team who – after a night of partying in Vegas – discovers that a bomb they deactivated was a fake and have to fight through their impairments to find the real bomb and save the world.

Zach Robinson (Cobra Kai, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Twisted Metal, Good Sam, Florida Man) has composed the original music for the upcoming Netflix original documentary series Wrestlers. The show is directed by Greg Whiteley (Cheer, Last Chance U) and centers on Ohio Valley Wrestling in Louisville, Kentucky, a regional wrestling gym (whose alumni include Brock Lesnar, John Cena, The Miz, Dave Bautista & Randy Orton) facing closure. The 7-parter chronicles the efforts once-famous pro wrestler Al Snow and his band of aspiring wrestlers make as they struggle with their personal ambitions and each other while they attempt to come together to save this historic gym.
Soundtrack Album for Peacock’s ‘Twisted Metal’ TV Series to Be Released
Madison Gate Records will release a soundtrack album for the Peacock original series Twisted Metal. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominees Leo Birenberg & Zach Robinson (Cobra Kai, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, Florida Man, Die Hart). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 28 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Twisted Metal is developed by Michael Jonathan Smith based on the PlayStation game series of the same title and stars Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Thomas Haden Church, Joe Seanoa and Will Arnett.
