Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this week:

Opening in most theaters is the animated feature The Boss Baby: Family Business directed by Tom McGrath and starring Alec Baldwin, Jeff Goldblum, Ariana Greenblatt, Lisa Kudrow, Jimmy Kimmel, Eva Longoria, James Marsden and Amy Sedaris. The film’s original score is composed by Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, The Lion King, Inception, Gladiator) and Steve Mazzaro (The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, The Rhythm Section).Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score, as well as two songs performed by Greenblatt, Marsden & Jacob Collier today. Also opening wide is the thriller The Forever Purge directed by Everardo Gout and starring Ana de la Reguera, Tenoch Huerta, Josh Lucas, Alejandro Edda, Leven Rambin, Cassidy Freeman and Will Patton. The Newton Brothers (The Haunting of Hill House, Doctor Sleep, Oculus, Life of Crime, Oujia: Origin of Evil) have composed the film’s original music. ‘The Boss Baby: Family Business’ Soundtrack Album Details

Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for DreamWorks Animation’s feature The Boss Baby: Family Business. The album features the film’s original score composed by Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, The Dark Knight, Inception, Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean) and Steve Mazzaro (The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Rhythm Section) who previously co-scored the 2017 original film. Also included is a cover version of Cat Stevens’ If You Want to Sing Out, Sing Out performed by James Marsden & Ariana Greenblatt feat. Jacob Collier, as well as the new song Together We Stand performed by Greenblatt. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, July 2 and will be available to stream/download here. The Boss Baby: Family Business is directed by Tom McGrath and features the voices of Alec Baldwin, Jeff Goldblum, Greenblatt, Lisa Kudrow, Jimmy Kimmel, Eva Longoria, Marsden and Amy Sedaris.

Hans Zimmer’s & Steve Mazzaro’s ‘The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run’ Score to Be Released

Paramount Music will release a score album for the animated feature The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run. The album features the film’s original score composed by Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Inception, The Dark Knight, Gladiator) & Steve Mazzaro (The Boss Baby, The Rhythm Section). The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 9 and will be available to stream/download here. As previously reported, Interscope Records has released a separate album featuring the songs from the movie last month. The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run is directed by Tim Hill and features the voices of Tom Kenny, Awkwafina, Clancy Brown, Rodger Bumpass, Bill Fagerbakke, Carolyn Lawrence, Douglas Lawrence and Reggie Watts.

Premiering tomorrow, March 1, is the NBC mystery drama Debris created by J.H. Wyman and starring Jonathan Tucker, Riann Steele, Norbert Leo Butz and Scroobius Pip. The show’s original music is composed by Raney Shockne (Queen of the South, Anger Management, The To Do List, Kevin Can Wait, The Wedding Year). The series, which revolves around a secretive international agency that is tasked with the mystery of a wreckage that starts falling from the sky, will air every Monday night on NBC. Also premiering tomorrow is the Netflix documentary Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell directed by Emmett Malloy and executive produced by Sean Combs, Voletta Wallace, Mark Pitts, Stanley Buchthal & Brendan Malloy about the life of one of the most influential rappers. Adam Peters (Savages, Icarus, Snowden, Sand Castle, The Dissident) has composed the film’s original score. Rhino Atlantic will release a soundtrack album featuring fourteen tracks by The Notorious B.I.G. ‘The Rhythm Section’ Soundtrack Album Released

Remote Control Productions has released a soundtrack album for the thriller The Rhythm Section. The album features the film’s original score composed by Steve Mazzaro (The Boss Baby, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Bullet to the Head, Ice Box) and produced by Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Gladiator, Inception, The Dark Knight). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The Rhythm Section is directed by Reed Morano and stars Blake Lively, Jude Law and Sterling K. Brown. The movie revolves around a woman who – after finding out her family’s death was not an accident – transforms from victim to assassin, seeking revenge on those responsible.

Hans Zimmer & Steve Mazzaro to Return for ‘The Boss Baby 2’

Hans Zimmer & Steve Mazzaro are returning as the composers of DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming sequel The Boss Baby 2. The film is directed by Tom McCrath (Madagascar, Megamind) who helmed the first part and stars Alec Baldwin who will reprise his role as the title character. No plot details have been announced yet. Jeff Hermann is producing the movie, which is based on the book by Marla Frazee. Zimmer’s & Mazzaro’s score from the original film was released in 2017 by Back Lot Music when the movie opened in theaters.

Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, The Dark Knight, Inception, Gladiator) serves as the project’s executive music producer. The movie is directed by Reed Morano (The Handmaid’s Tale, I Think We’re Alone Now) and stars Blake Lively, Jude Law, Sterling K. Brown, Daniel Mays and Raza Jaffrey. The film is based on the novel by Mark Burnell and follows an ordinary woman on a path of self-destruction after her family is tragically killed in a plane crash and when she discovers that the crash was not an accident.

Premiering tonight is the Syfy original series Nightflyers developed by Jeff Buhler based on George R.R. Martin’s novella and the 1987 film of the same name and starring Eoin Macken, David Ajala, Sam Strike, Maya Eshet, Angus Sampson, Jodie Turner-Smith, Brian F. O’Byrne and Gretchen Mol. The show’s original music is composed by Will Bates (The Path, The Looming Tower, I Origins, The Magicians). Also premiering tonight is Freeform original feature Life-Size 2 directed by Steven K. Tsuchida and starring Tyra Banks, Francia Raisa, Gavin Stenhouse, Shanica Knowles, Hank Chen and Alison Fernandez. Germaine Franco (Tag, Dope, Vida) has composed the film’s original score. Walt Disney Records has released a new version of the song Be a Star (originally written for the first movie, which premiered in 2000) performed by Tyra Banks. Steve Mazzaro (The Boss Baby, Bullet to the Head) has recently scored the upcoming drama Icebox. The film is written and directed by Daniel Sawka and stars Anthony Gonzales, Genesis Rodriguez, Matthew Moreno and Omar Leyva. The movie is based on Sawka’s short of the same title and centers on a young boy from Honduras who is forced to leave his home country and attempt to reach his uncle in the United States. James L. Brooks (As Good As It Gets, Terms of Endearment) is producing the project with Richard Sakai (The Simpsons Movie, Jerry Maguire), Julie Ansell, (The Edge of Seventeen, Spanglish) and David S. Greathouse.
