Steve Mazzaro (The Boss Baby, Bullet to the Head) has recently scored the upcoming drama Icebox. The film is written and directed by Daniel Sawka and stars Anthony Gonzales, Genesis Rodriguez, Matthew Moreno and Omar Leyva. The movie is based on Sawka’s short of the same title and centers on a young boy from Honduras who is forced to leave his home country and attempt to reach his uncle in the United States. James L. Brooks (As Good As It Gets, Terms of Endearment) is producing the project with Richard Sakai (The Simpsons Movie, Jerry Maguire), Julie Ansell, (The Edge of Seventeen, Spanglish) and David S. Greathouse. Actors Diego Luna & Gael Garcia Bernal serve as executive producers. Icebox is expected to premiere later this year.
