Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album for the FX on Hulu limited series Mrs. America. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Kris Bowers (Green Book, Dear White People, When They See Us, Monsters and Men, Black Monday). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 22 and will be available to stream/download here. Mrs. America is created by Dahvi Waller and stars Cate Blanchett, Rose Byrne, Sarah Paulson, Uzo Aduba, Margo Martindale, Elizabeth Banks, John Slattery and Tracey Ullman. The drama tells the story of the movement to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), and the unexpected backlash led by a conservative woman named Phyllis Schlafly.

Kris Bowers to Score Malcolm D. Lee’s ‘Space Jam 2’
Kris Bowers (Green Book, Dear White People, When They See Us, Monsters and Men) has been hired to score the upcoming sports comedy sequel Space Jam 2. The film is directed by Malcolm D. Lee (Girls Trip, Undercover Brothers) and stars LeBron James as himself, as well as Don Cheadle, Sonequa Martin-Green and Ceyair J. Wright. The movie follows the NBA superstar as he teams up with Bugs Bunny and the rest of the Looney Tunes James is also producing the project with Ryan Coogler (Black Panther, Creed), Duncan Henderson (Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World , Oblivion) and Maverick Carter (Self Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C.J. Walker).

Kris Bowers to Reteam with Reinaldo Marcus Green on ‘Good Joe Bell’
Composer Kris Bowers (Green Book, When They See Us, Dear White People) is reteaming with director Reinaldo Marcus Green on the upcoming drama Good Joe Bell. The film starring Mark Wahlberg, Connie Britton, Reid Miller, Maxwell Jenkins and Gary Sinise tells the true story of an Oregonian father who sets out on a walk across the United States with his son. Diana Ossana & Larry McMurtry (Brokeback Mountain) wrote the screenplay.

Premiering tonight is the Epix original series Godfather of Harlem created by Chris Brancato & Paul Eckstein and starring Forest Whitaker, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ilfenesh Hadera, Antoinette Crowe-Legacy, Nigél Thatch, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Lucy Fry, Paul Sorvino, Giancarlo Esposito and Rafi Gavron. The show’s original score is composed by Mark Isham (Crash, The Accountant, Once Upon a Time). Epic Records has released the drama’s main titles song Just In Case performed by Swizz Beatz, Rick Ross & DMX and will release a full soundtrack album soon (click here for more details).
Also premiering tonight is the Fox animated comedy Bless the Harts created by Emily Spivey and starring Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Jillian Bell and Ike Barinholtz. Andrew Sherman (Game Day, A Very Serious Person) is composing the show’s original music and has also composed the theme. Score Album for Netflix’s ‘Dear White People’ to Be Released
Lionsgate Records will release a score album for the Netflix original series Dear White People. The album features selections of the original score from the first three seasons of the show composed by Kris Bowers (Green Book, When They See Us, Monsters and Men). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 16 and will be available to download on Amazon. Columbia Records has previously released two soundtrack albums featuring songs and score selections from the show’s first two seasons. Dear White People is created by Justin Simien based on his 2014 movie of the same title and stars Logan Browning, Brandon P. Bell, Antoinette Robertson, DeRon Horton, John Patrick Amedori, Marque Richardson and Giancarlo Esposito.

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix limited series When They See Us. The album features the show’s original music composed by Kris Bowers (Green Book, Dear White People, Monsters and Men, Black Monday) who received his first Emmy Award nomination for his work on the project. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 9 and will be available to download here. When They See Us is directed by Ava DuVernay and stars Michael K. Williams, John Leguizamo, Felicity Huffman, Niecy Nash, Blair Underwood, Christopher Jackson, Joshua Jackson, Famke Janssen, Aurora Perrineau, William Sadler and Jovan Adepo.
Kris Bowers to Score Netflix’s ‘Raising Dion’
Kris Bowers has been tapped to score the upcoming Netflix original series Raising Dion. The show developed by Carol Barbee (UnREAL) based on the comic book created by Dennis Liu and stars Alisha Wainwright, Ja’Siah Young, Michael B. Jordan, Jason Ritter and Jazmyn Simon. The drama centers on a single mom who must hide her young son’s superpowers to protect him from exploitation while investigating their origins and her husband’s death.

Opening in most theaters is the action comedy Stuber directed by Michael Dowse and starring Kumail Nanjiani, Dave Bautista, Iko Uwais, Natalie Morales, Betty Gilpin, Jimmy Tatro, Mira Sorvino and Karen Gillan. The film’s original music is composed by Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Straight Outta Compton, The Greatest Showman, The Raid series, Arctic).
