Composer Kris Bowers (Green Book, When They See Us, Dear White People) is reteaming with director Reinaldo Marcus Green on the upcoming drama Good Joe Bell. The film starring Mark Wahlberg, Connie Britton, Reid Miller, Maxwell Jenkins and Gary Sinise tells the true story of an Oregonian father who sets out on a walk across the United States with his son. Diana Ossana & Larry McMurtry (Brokeback Mountain) wrote the screenplay. Daniela Taplin Lundberg (The Kids Are Alright, Hello, My Name Is Doris) is producing the project with Wahlberg & Stephen Levinson (Entourage, Deepwater Horizon), Riva Marker & Jake Gyllenhaal (Wildlife, Stronger), Eva Maria Daniels (Hold the Dark), Cary Fukunaga (Beasts of No Nation, Maniac) and Ryan Ahrens. Bowers has previously scored Green’s feature directorial debut, Monsters and Men. Good Joe Bell is currently in post-production and will premiere in 2020.

Also coming up for Bowers is Justin Simien’s Bad Hair. The composer has also recently scored the first season of the new Netflix original series Raising Dion, which just premiered last Friday on Netflix.
