The details of the soundtrack album for the sixth episode of the second season of the Prime Video original series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power have been revealed. The album features the original music from Episode 6 (entitled Where Is He?) of Season 2 composed by Emmy Award winner Bear McCreary (Outlander, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, The Walking Dead, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Battlestar Galactica, Happy Death Day). The soundtracks will be released digitally tomorrow, September 19 by Amazon Content Services and will be available to stream exclusively on Amazon Music before becoming available on other digital music services after the season finale premieres next month. The label has previously released the composer’s scores from Episodes 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 as well as the Season 2 album featuring selections of the McCreary’s music from the new season over the last couple of weeks.

Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British TV series Moonflower Murders created by Anthony Horowitz and starring Lesley Manville, Timothy McMullan, Mark Gatiss, Daniel Mays, Rosalie Craig, Claire Rushbrook, Conleth Hill, Pippa Bennett-Warner, Matthew Beard, Adrian Rawlins and Sanjeev Kohli. The show’s original music is composed by Murray Gold (Doctor Who, Gentleman Jack, Torchwood, Dead Ringers, It’s a Sin, A Very English Scandal, Quiz) who previously scored 2022’s original Magpie Murders series. Adrian Johnston Scoring Prime Video’s ‘A Very Royal Scandal’
Adrian Johnston (The Strangers: Prey at Night, Lassie, The Child in Time, Dancing on the Edge, The Tunnel) is the composer of the new British Prime Video limited series A Very Royal Scandal. The show is directed by Julian Jarrold (Sulphur and White, A Royal Night Out), written by Jeremy Brock (The Last King of Scotland, Mrs. Brown) and stars Michael Sheen as Prince Andrew and Ruth Wilson as Emily Maitlis, as well as Joanna Scanlan, Alex Jennings, Éanna Hardwicke and Claire Rushbrook. The 3-part drama is based on the real-life 2019 interview between Emily Maitlis and Prince Andrew over the accusations the Prince faced regarding his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein and Virginia Giuffre and follows the action of Maitlis and Prince Andrew in the lead-up to the interview.

Joseph Shirley (The Book of Boba Fett, The Mandalorian, Creed III, Fairfax, Bad Trip, The Underdoggs, The Mysterious Benedict Society) has composed the original score for the upcoming thriller Killer Heat. The film is directed by Philippe Lacôte (Night of the Kings) and stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Shailene Woodley, Richard Madden, Clare Holman, Bobou Ceesay and Abbey Lee. The movie is based on the short story The Jealousy Man by Jo Nesbø and follows an American expat in Greece working as a private eye who gets hired to investigate the supposed accidental death of a young shipping magnate on the island of Crete.

Available to stream/download now on most major digital music services is Old Tom Bombadil by the show’s composer Bear McCreary (Outlander, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, 10 Cloverfield Lane, The Walking Dead) feat. vocals by Rufus Wainwright. A first track (The Last Ballad of Damrod by McCreary & Jens Kidman) has already been released last Thursday and the full soundtrack album will be coming out on August 23.
