A24 and Invada Records will release a soundtrack album for the comedy drama Zola. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Mica Levi (Jackie, Under the Skin, Monos, Small Axe). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, July 2 and will be available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. A vinyl edition is also in the works. The details of the first soundtrack album for Marvel Studios’ Disney+ original series Loki have been revealed. The album features the original score from the show’s first three episodes composed by Natalie Holt (Journey’s End, Knightfall, Herself, Deadwater Fell, Press). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, July 2 by Hollywood Records and Marvel Music and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music services. A first track (TVA) from the score has been released earlier this month and a second album featuring Holt’s music from Episodes 4-6 will be coming out on July 23. Academy Announces Updates Rules in Music Categories

The Academy’s Board of Governors has approved rules and campaign regulations for the 94th Academy Awards, including two changes in the music categories. In the Original Score category, “for a score to be eligible, it must comprise a minimum of 35% of the total music in the film, lowered from 60%” and in the Original Song category, “no more than five songs from any one film may be submitted.” Submission deadline for both categories has been set for Monday, November 1, 2021. The album features selections of the the music from the film written by legendary art-pop duo Sparks (Ron and Russell Mael), lyrics co-written by the band and Carax, and performed by Sparks and the cast of the movie. The soundtrack will be released digitally in the U.S. on August 6 by Milan Records and will be available to stream/download here.
