Premiering on Wednesday, December 15 is the animated feature Rumble directed by Hamish Grieve and starring Will Arnett, Geraldine Viswanathan, Terry Crews, Jimmy Tatro, Stephen A. Smith, Tony Danza, Susan Kelechi Watson, Tony Shalhoub, Greta Lee,Bridget Everett, Ben Schwartz, Joe Anoa’i, Becky Lynch, Michael Buffer and Charles Barkley. The film’s original music is composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible: Fallout, Black Widow, The Wheel of Time, His Dark Materials, Bad Boys for Life, The Lego Batman Movie). Check out our scoring assignment announcement to learn more about the movie, which was originally set to receive a theatrical release by Paramount Pictures and is now premiering exclusively on Paramount+.

Premiering on Thursday, December 16 is the HBO Max limited series Station Eleven created by Patrick Somerville based on Emily St. John Mand’s of the same title and starring Mackenzie Davis, Himesh Patel, Matilda Lawler, Daniel Zovatto, David Wilmot, Philippine Velge, Nabhaan Rizwan and Lori Petty. Dan Romer (Luca, Beasts of No Nation, Beasts of the Southern Wild,  Atypical, The Good Doctor, Wendy) has composed the show’s original music. ‘The Claus Family 2’ Soundtrack Released

MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the Dutch-Belgian family adventure The Claus Family 2. The album features the film’s original music composed by Anne-Kathrin Dern (Fearless, The Jade Pendant, The Legend of the War Horse, Help, I Shrunk My Parents). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released the composer’s score for last year’s original The Claus Family movie. The sequel is directed by Ruben Vandenborre and stars Mo Bakker, Jan Decleir, Bracha van Doesburgh, Eva van der Gucht, Josje Huisman, Janne Desmet, Stefaan Degand, Renée Soutendijk, Sien Eggers, Amber Metdepenningen and Pommelien Thijs. World Premiere Soundtrack Release for Lou Ye’s ‘Blind Massage’ Announced

Soundtrack Magazine has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 2014 Chinese drama Blind Massage directed by Lou Ye and starring Guo Xiaodong, Qin Hao and Zhnag Lei. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Jóhann Jóhannsson (Sicario, The Theory of Everything, Arrival, Prisoners, Mandy) & Jonas Colstrup (Tigers, The Shadow Play, In the Blood). Interscope Records has released a soundtrack EP for the Spanish Netflix original series Money Heist (La Casa de Papel). The EP features five tracks from the show’s original score composed by Ivan M. Lacamara (Sky Rojo, Vis a vis) and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Listen to four of the five tracks below. Available separately as a digital single is Cecilia Krull’s cover of Can’t Take My Eyes Off You as featured in the latest season. Opening in nationwide this weekend is the musical drama West Side Story directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Ansel Elgort, Rachel Zegler, Ariana DeBose, Mike Faist, Josh Andrés Rivera, David Alvarez, Corey Stoll, Brian d’Arcy James, Ana Isabelle and Rita Moreno. The film’s music was originally written for the stage musical of the same title by Leonard Bernstein (with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim) and has been adapted by David Newman (Anastasia, Ice Age, Serenity, The Flintstones). Gustavo Dudamel conducted the New York and Los Angeles Philharmonic. Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs and score from the movie last week. Also opening wide is the sports drama National Champions directed by Ric Roman Waugh and starring Stephan James, J.K. Simmons, Alexander Ludwig, Tim Blake Nelson, Timothy Olyphant, Uzo Aduba, Lil Rel Howery, Jeffrey Donovan, Russell Wilson, Andrew Bachelor, Kristin Chenoweth and David Koechner. Jonathan Sanford (Teenage Bounty Hunters, Good on Paper, As We See It, Dare Me, Social Distance) has composed the film’s original music. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. WaterTower Music has announced the official soundtrack album for Lana Wachowski’s The Matrix Resurrections. The album features the film’s original music composed by Johnny Klimek & Tom Tykwer (Cloud Atlas, The International, Run Lola Run, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer). Also included are 11 remixes by Klimek & Tykwer, Marcel Dettmann, Moderna, Thomas Fehlmann, System 01, Esther Silex & Kotelett, Gudrun Gut, Almost Falling, Psychic Health, Eclectic Youth, and Alessandro Adriani. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, December 17 (click here to stream/download) and a CD version is available to order on Amazon. Decca Records has released the full soundtrack album for the musical drama Cyrano. The album features the songs from the movie written by Bryce Dessner & Aaron Dessner (of The National), with lyrics by Matt Berninger & Carin Besser and performed by cast members Haley Bennett, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Ben Mendelsohn & others, as well as selections of Bryce & Aaron’s originals score performed by the London Contemporary Orchestra. Also included is The National’s original song Someone Desperate, which has previously been released as a digital single. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here. ‘Swan Song’ Soundtrack Album Details

The album features the film’s original score composed by Jay Wadley (I’m Thinking of Ending Things, I Carry You with Me, Indignation, Driveways, Tales from the City, Olympic Dreams). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, December 17 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Several tracks are already available to stream/download now. Listen to the composer’s main theme after the jump. Swan Song is written and directed by Benjamin Cleary and stars Mahershala Ali, Naomie Harris, Glenn Close, Awkwafina and Adam Beach. The movie is set in the near future and follows a loving husband and father diagnosed with a terminal illness who is presented with an alternative solution by his doctor to shield his family from grief.
