Music Box Records has announced a soundtrack album for the French comedy drama Driving Madeleine (Une belle course). The album features the film’s original music composed, orchestrated and conducted by Philippe Rombi (Swimming Pool, Joyeux Noel, In the House, Angel, Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion). Also included are two songs by Dinah Washington and Etta James. The soundtrack will be released this coming Friday, September 16. SMP has released a soundtrack album for the Jordanian thriller The Alleys (Al Harra). The album features the film’s original music composed by Nasser Sharaf. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. The Alleys is written and directed by Bassel Ghandour and stars Emad Azmi, Baraka Rahmani, Munther Rayahnah, Nadira Omran and Maisa Abd Elhadi. The movie is set in East Amman and follows a hustler who passes himself off as a regular businessman, trying to scam enough money to legitimize his relationship with his secret lover. Decca Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama Gigi & Nate. The album features the film’s original music composed by Paul Leonard-Morgan (Limitless, Dynasty, Tales from the Loop, Dredd, Wormwood) who recorded his score with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. Also included is the original end credits song Wave Me On co-written (with Leonard-Morgan, Jackson Hamm, Austin Brenner & Josiah Valerius) and performed by JP Cooper (check out the official music video below). The film is based on Fredrik Backman’s 2012 novel and the Swedish 2015 feature A Man Called Ove and stars Tom Hanks, Mariana Treviño, Rachel Keller, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Cameron Britton and Mike Birbiglia. The movie follows a grumpy isolated widower who gives everyone in his neighborhood a hard time, when he starts developing an unlikely and reluctant friendship with his new neighbors.
