Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the supernatural horror movie The Exorcist: Believer co-written and directed by David Gordon Green and starring Leslie Odom, Jr., Jennifer Nettles, Ann Dowd, Norbert Leo Butz, Olivia Marcus, Lidya Jewett, and Ellen Burstyn. The film’s original music is composed by David Wingo (Mud, Take Shelter, Barry, The Report, Midnight Special, Loving) and Amman Abbasi (Dayveon). Opening semi-wide in several hundred theaters is the romantic comedy She Came to Me written and directed by Rebecca Miller and starring Peter Dinklage, Marisa Tomei, Anne Hathaway, Joanna Kulig and Brian d’Arcy James. Bryce Dessner (Cyrano, The Two Popes, Bardo, A Good Person, The Kitchen, Irresistible) has composed the film’s original score. Warner Classics has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as an original score by Bruce Springsteen last week.
