dead-in-tombstoneBack Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for the action western Dead in Tombstone. The album features the film’s original score composed by the UK-based electronic music group Hybrid comprising of Michael Truman, Chris Healings and Charlotte James. They have previously collaborated with Harry Gregson-Williams on a number of film scores, including UnstoppableTotal Recall and Prince of Persia.  The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 15, 2013. Dead in Tombstone is directed by Roel Reine and stars Danny Trejo, Anthony Michael Hall, Mickey Rourke, Dina Meyer and Richard Dillane. The movie follows a leader of a gang of outlaws who gets killed by his own gang members and makes a deal with the devil to come back from the dead to seek revenge. michael-giacchinoMichael Giacchino has signed on to score the upcoming comedy This Is Where I Leave You. The film is directed by Shawn Levy and stars Jason Bateman, Tina Fey, Rose Byrne, Jane Fonda, Kathryn Hahn, Timothy Olyphant, Ben Schwartz, Corey Stoll, Dax Shepard, Connie Britton and Abigail Spencer. The movie is based on a novel by Jonathan Tropper (Banshee) and follows a dysfunctional and idiosyncratic family in which the father’s death forces four grown siblings to spend a week together under the same roof for the first time in a decade. Tropper also has written the screenplay and Levy is producing the project with Paula Weinstein (The Perfect Storm, Analyze This, Blood Diamond). Most of Levy’s previous features, including Cheaper by the Dozen, Date Night and The Pink Panther featured music by composer Christophe Beck. black-beautyLa La-Land Records has released new soundtrack edition for the 1994 family drama Black Beauty directed by Caroline Thompson and starring Sean Bean and David Thewlis. The album features the expanded original score from the Warner Bros. Pictures production composed by Danny Elfman, including numerous previously unreleased cues from the score. Also included are a number of bonus tracks, including alternates and source cues. ‘Last Vegas’ Soundtrack Announced

last-vegasVarese Sarabande will release the official soundtrack album for the comedy Last Vegas. The album features the film’s original score composed by Mark Mothersbaugh (The Royal Tenenbaums, 21 Jump Street, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs). Also included are a number of standards performed by Mary Steenburgen, who appears in the film as a lounge singer. The soundtrack will be released on October 29, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Last Vegas is directed by Jon Turteltaub (National Treasure, While You Were Sleeping) and stars Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline. The movie follows four best friends in their late-60′s, who decide to escape retirement and throw a Las Vegas bachelor party for the last single member of their group. The album features the songs from the folm performed by film’s cast includimg Jennifer Hudson, Forest Whitaker, Jacob Latimore, Angela Bassett, Tyrese Gibson, Luke James, Nasir Jones (aka Nas), Mary J. Black Nativity directed by Kasi Lemmons is based on the Broadway gospel musical by Langston Hughes, which premiered in 1961 and follows a street-wise teen from Baltimore who is sent to New York City by his single mother to spend the Christmas holiday with his estranged relatives. white-birdRobin Guthrie is currently scoring the upcoming indie drama White Bird in a Blizzard. The film is written and directed by Gregg Araki (The Doom Generation, Smiley Face) and stars Shailene Woodley, Gabourey Sidibe, Eva Green, Angela Bassett, Christopher Meloni and Shiloh Fernandez. The movie is based on a novel by Laura Kasischke (The Life Before Her Eyes) and follows a troubles young woman whose life spins out of control when her mother mysteriously disappears. Araki is also producing the project with Pascal Caucheteux (A Prophet, Rust and Bone) and Sebastien Lemercier (The Purge, Four Lovers) of Why Not Productions. ‘Erased’ Soundtrack Released

erasedVarese Sarabande Records has released a soundtrack album for the action thriller Erased. The album features the film’s original score composed by Jeff Danna (The Boondock Saints, Silent Hill, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus). Pale Blue Records has previously released the composer’s score overseas, where the film opened under the title The Expatriate. Erased is directed by Phillip Stolzl and stars Aaron Eckhart, Olga Kurylenko, Liana Liberato. The movie about an ex-CIA agent who discovers that he and his daughter have been marked for termination as part of an international conspiracy was released in select theaters this past May by the Weinstein Company’s Radius label and is now available on Blu-ray and DVD. The film is written and directed by Tristan Patterson and stars Jim Sturgess, Isabel Lucas, Patricia Arquette, Chloë Sevigny, and Christopher Lambert. The movie is based on a true story set in the 1980s and follows the owner of a posh Los Angeles furniture store who robbed a bank to impress his new girlfriend and became a serial robber known as “The Gentleman Bandit”. Hans C. Ritter (Sound of My Voice), Christine Vachon (Boys Don’t Cry, Far from Heaven, Kill Your Darlings) & Kirk D’Amico (Eulogy) are producing the Myriad Pictures production. The album features the film’s original score composed by Greg Edmonson (Firefly, Uncharted video game series). Also included are two songs by Clarence Murray and Loren Gold & James Renal. cliff-martinezCliff Martinez revealed in a recent interview with Lost in the Multiplex that he will be scoring Steven Soderbergh’s upcoming Cinemax original series The Knick. The show starring Clive Owen, Andre Holland, Juliet Rylance, Eve Hewson, Collin Meath and Michael Angarano is set in downtown New York in 1900 and follows the groundbreaking surgeons, nurses and staff at the Knickerbocker Hospital who push the bounds of medicine in a time of astonishingly high mortality rates and zero antibiotics. Soderbergh will direct all ten episodes of the series. Jack Amiel & Michael Begler (Big Miracle, The Prince and Me, Raising Helen) have written the scripts and are also executive producing the drama with Soderbergh, Owen and Michael Sugar (The Fifth Estate, Big Miracle) and Gregory Jacobs (Magic Mike, Side Effects).
