The show is created by Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing, The Social Network) and stars Jeff Daniels, Emily Mortimer, Sam Waterston, John Gallagher, Jr., Alison Pill, Thomas Sadoski, Dev Patel and Olivia Munn. The series follows the members of a cable news team on their quixotic mission to do the news well in the face of a fickle audience, corporate mandates and tangled personal relationships. Alex Wurman has previously scored the show’s first season, while Johnny Klimek composed the music for the second season. Thomas Newman provided the series’ main titles theme. sharknadoLakeshore Records will release two soundtrack albums for the Syfy original movies Sharknado and Sharknado 2: The Second One. The albums features the original music from the first part of the series composed by Ramin Kousha and the score for the second installment composed by Chris Ridenhour and Christopher Cano. Both soundtracks will be released digitally on October 14, 2014 and physically on November 11. Sharknado directed by Anthony C. Ferrante and starring Ian Ziering and Tara Reid premiered last year on Syfy. The sequel, which also stars Vivica A. Fox, Kari Wuhrer and Mark McGrath premiered this past summer. The film is directed by Anthony Burns (Skateland) and stars Katherine Heigl, Patrick Wilson, Jordana Brewster, Kevin McKidd, A.J. Buckley, Chi McBride and Jim Belushi. The movie, which was originally entitled North to Hell, follows a businessman whose life would be perfect if it weren’t for his domineering wife controlling his every move. Carlo Allen, Ted Elrick and Tom Lavagnino have written the screenplay. Burns and Buckley are also producing the Darko Entertainment and Donnybrook 4 production with Jeff Culotta & Sean McKittrick (Bad Words, Hell Baby, Jimi: All Is By My Side). tina-guoCellist Tina Guo has released the album Tina Guo & Composers for Charity, which features collaborations with a variety of film, TV, and video game composers. The pieces on the album are written by composers including Neal Acree (Diablo III), Penka Kouneva (Primrose Lane), Austin Wintory (Journey), Lorne Balfe (The Penguins of Madagascar), Jeff Rona (Dominion), Bill Brown (CSI: NY), Nuno Malo (The Celestine Prophecy) and Pinar Toprak (The River Murders). The proceeds from the digital album will be donated to the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation to support underfunded music in schools. The album is now available on Loudr.fm and iTunes, where you can also listen to audio clips. Guo was the eatured cello soloist on numerous film scores, including Sherlock Holmes by Hans Zimmer, Iron Man 2 by John Debney, Clash of the Titans by Ramin Djawadi and Olympus Has Fallen by Trevor Morris. ‘Horns’ Score Album Announced

hornsLakeshore Records has announced a score album for Alexandre Aja’s horror thriller Horns. The album features the film’s original music composed by Rob (aka Robin Coudert) who previously scored the Aja-produced Maniac. The soundtrack was released yesterday in the UK and will arrive in the U.S. digitally on October 14. A CD version will be released on November 4 and is available for pre-order on Amazon.
