The film is directed by Cristóbal León & Joaquín Cociña (The Wolf House, The Hyperboreans) and stars Antonia Giesen, Andrew Bargsted and Francisco Melo. The Spanish language movie is set in a fairy-tale kingdom where love has been forbidden an tells the story of King Arthur’s daughter, a princess who uses a magical bracelet to travel to other worlds in search of her love.

JB Dunckel Scoring Céline Rouzet’s ‘For Night Will Come’
JB Dunckel (Summer of 85, The Summer of Sangaile, K.O., Capital in the Twenty-First Century) of the electronic pop duo AIR has recently scored the upcoming French/Belgian fantasy drama For Night Will Come (En attendant la nuit). The film marks the narrative feature directorial debut of documentary filmmaker Céline Rouzet (A Distant Thud in the Jungle) and stars Mathias Legoût-Hammond, Elodie Bouchez, Céleste Brunnquell, Jean-Charles Clichet and Laly Mercier. The movie is set in a small town and follows a normal, friendly family hiding their teenage son’s dark secret and thirst for blood.
‘Heartbeast’ Soundtrack Album Released
Music Box Publishing has released a soundtrack album for the French/Finnish dramatic thriller Heartbeast (Pulse). The album features the film’s original score composed by JB Dunckel (Summer of 85, K.O., The Summer of Sangaile, Capital in the Twenty-First Century) of AIR. Also included are songs performed by lead acturess Elsi Sloan, as well as Chilla, Mercedes Bentso, Rim Laurens & others. Heartbeast is written and directed by Aino Suni and also stars Carmen Kassovitz, Camille, Lucille Guillaume and Adel Bencherif. The movie follows a 17-year-old aspiring rapper who is forced to leave her home country of Finland and move to the South of France, where she meets a charismatic ballet dancer who leads a double life full of boys and drugs.

The only new movie opening in theaters nationwide this week is the action comedy Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard directed by Patrick Hughes and starring Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, Salma Hayek, Antonio Banderas, Morgan Freeman, Frank Grillo, Caroline Goodall, Rebecca Front, Gabriella Wrigh and Richard E. Grant. The the film’s original music is composed by Atli Örvarsson (Defending Jacob, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Vantage Point, The Edge of Seventeen, The Eagle, Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga). Opening in around 500 theaters is the documentary The Sparks Brothers directed by Edgar Wright about brothers/bandmates Ron and Russell Mael and their overlooked rock band Sparks. The film’s doesn’t feature an original score. Gary Welch serves as the project’s music supervisor. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack EP featuring three songs by the band from their 2018 London performance, as well alyric read by Neil Gaiman today. The album features the film’s original music composed by JB Dunckel (Summer of 85, The Summer of Sangaile, K.O., Capital in the Twenty-First Century) of AIR. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list. Fishlove is co-written and directed by Olivier Babinet and stars Gustave Kervern, India Hair, Ellen Dorrit Petersen, Jean-Benoît Ugeux and Alexis Manenti. The movie is set in a world where fish can no longer reproduce and centers on a biologist studying the disappearance of the species.

Sony Masterworks has released the full soundtrack album for the French coming-of-age drama Summer of 85 (Été 85). The album features the film’s original music composed by AIR’s JB Dunckel (K.O., The Summer of Sangaile, Capital in the Twenty-First Century, Cyprien). Also included are the songs In Between Days, by The Cure and Sailing by Rod Stewart. The soundtrack is now available digitally overseas. The album (without the Rod Stewart song) will be released in the U.S. on September 11 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon. Summer of 85 is written and directed by Francois Ozon and stars Félix Lefebvre, Benjamin Voisin, Philippine Velge, Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi, Melvil Poupaud and Isabelle Nanty. The movie tells a story of friendship and love between two teenage boys at a seaside resort in Normandy in the mid-1980s.

The film is written and directed by Francois Ozon (Swimming Pool, By the Grace of God, 8 Women, In the House) and stars Félix Lefebvre, Benjamin Voisin, Philippine Velge, Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi, Melvil Poupaud and Isabelle Nanty. The movie follows 16-year-old Alexis who meets 18-year-old David on the coast of Normandy and feels that he has just met the friend of his dreams. Eric Altmayer and Nicolas Altmayer (On the Other Side of the Tracks, Saint Laurent, The Emperor of Paris) are producing the project.

No word on a soundtrack release. The movie, which premiered at last year’s Sundance Film Festival, is being released by Oscilloscope Laboratories.
