Sony Masterworks has released the full soundtrack album for the French coming-of-age drama Summer of 85 (Été 85). The album features the film’s original music composed by AIR’s JB Dunckel (K.O., The Summer of Sangaile, Capital in the Twenty-First Century, Cyprien). Also included are the songs In Between Days, by The Cure and Sailing by Rod Stewart. The soundtrack is now available digitally overseas. The album (without the Rod Stewart song) will be released in the U.S. on September 11 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon. Summer of 85 is written and directed by Francois Ozon and stars Félix Lefebvre, Benjamin Voisin, Philippine Velge, Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi, Melvil Poupaud and Isabelle Nanty. The movie tells a story of friendship and love between two teenage boys at a seaside resort in Normandy in the mid-1980s. The drama has just been released in French theaters yesterday.
