alec-puroAlec Puro has signed on to score the upcoming indie comedy drama Ashby. The film is written and directed by Tony McNamara (The Rage in Lake Placid) and stars Mickey Rourke, Nat Wolff, Emma Roberts, Sarah Silverman, Michael Lerner, Kevin Dunn and Zach Knighton. The movie centers on the relationship between two neighbors, a high school student and a retired CIA assassin who only has a few months left to live. Kevin McCormick (Gangster Squad, The Lucky One, Arthur) & Rory Koslow are producing the project for Langley Park Pictures, alongside Josh Kesselman (For a Good Time, Call…) for Tagline Pictures and Phil Hunt & Compton Ross for Head Gear Films. The show is based on The Librarian television franchise and stars Rebecca Romijn, Christian Kane, Lindy Booth, John Kim and John Larroquette. Noah Wyle, Bob Newhart and Jane Curtin are reprising their roles from the film trilogy. The drama centers on an ancient organization hidden beneath the Metropolitan Public Library dedicated to protecting an unknowing world from the secret, magical reality hidden all around. Dean Devlin (Independence Day, Stargate, The Patriot), John Rogers (The Core, Catwoman) and Marc Roskin (Leverage, Geostorm) are also executive producing the Electric Entertainment production with Wyle. The album features the film’s original score composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter SoldierWreck-It-RalphX-Men: First ClassWinnie the Pooh), as well as the original song Immortals performed by Fall Out Boy, which has also been released as a single this week and is now available to download here. The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 4, 2014. A physical version will be coming out on November 24 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Big Hero 6 is directed by Don Hall & Chris Williams and features the voice talent of of Ryan Potter, Scott Adsit, T.J. The Volume 3 album features new versions of 1920’s and 1930’s songs performed by such artists as Elvis Costello, Regina Spektor, David Johansen, Loudon Wainwright III, cast members Margot Bingham (Daughter Maitland) and Stephen DeRosa (Eddie Cantor) and Boardwalk Empire house band Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks. The film is written and directed by Nick Sandow and stars Vincent Piazza, Patricia Arquette, Michael Imperioli, David Zayas and Doug E. Doug. The movie is in New York City during the early 1990s and follows a man obsessed with mob culture who attempts to fix the jury in the trial of John Gotti. Lizzie Nastro (Bluebird) is producing the project with Mike Gasparro are producing the Electric Entertainment production.
