Cristobal Tapia de Veer has been tapped to compose the music for the upcoming Channel 4 mini-series National Treasure. The drama is created by Jack Thorne (A Long Way Down, The Black Panthers) and stars Robbie Coltrane, Julie Walters, Andrea Riseborough. The 4-parter one half of a much-loved comedy double act, a national treasure despite Finchley’s career being on the wane. One day his world changes forever when he is accused of raping a woman in the 1970s.. George Ormond and George Faber (Shameless, Skins, The White Queen) are executive producing the project. Keller Edde Studios announced today that Ennio Morricone is attached to compose the score for the upcoming Holocaust drama A Rose in Winter. The film will be written and directed by Joshua Sinclair (screenwriter of Gigolo & Judgment in Berlin). The movie tells the story of German Jewish philosopher Edith Stein, who was killed by Nazis at Auschwitz on August 9, 1942 after fighting for women’s rights and gender equality in Germany, from the perspective of New York Times journalist Michael Rosten. Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the dramatic thriller Money Monster directed by Jodie Foster and starring George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Jack O’Connell, Dominic West, Giancarlo Esposito and Caitriona Balfe. The film’s original score is composed by Dominic Lewis (The Man in the High Castle, Free Birds) and produced by Henry Jackman.
