Sony Music will release a soundtrack album for the drama Urban Hymn. The album features the songs from the movie by artists including The Clash, Belarus, Billy Bragg, Letitia Wright & The Urban Hymn Choir, Darrell Banks, Patti LaBelle & The Bluebelles, Jamie Joseph & more. The soundtrack will be released overseas on October 28, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Urban Hymn is directed by Michael Caton-Jones (The Jackal, Rob Roy) and stars Letitia Wright, Isabella Laughland, Shirley Henderson, Ian Hart and Steven Mackintosh. The movie is set against the 2011 UK summer riots and follows a young female offender who possesses a remarkable voice and a determined social worker who inspires her to use it. Premiering tonight is the new HBO original series Divorce created by Sharon Horgan and starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Thomas Haden Church, Molly Shannon, Talia Balsam and Tracy Letts. The show’s original music composed by Keegan DeWitt (I’ll Follow You un My Dreams, Morris from America, Listen Up Philip, Queen of Earth). Three new movies are opening nationwide this week:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the dramatic thriller The Girl on the Train directed by Tate Taylor and starring Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson, Haley Bennett, Justin Theroux, Luke Evans, Allison Janney, Edgar Ramirez, Lisa Kudrow and Laura Prepon. The film’s original music is composed by Danny Elfman (Batman, Spider-Man, Alice in Wonderland, Fifty Shades of Grey). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Also opening nationwide is the historical drama The Birth of a Nation directed by Nate Parker who also stars in the movie alongside Armie Hammer, Mark Boone Jr., Colman Domingo, Aunjanue Ellis, Dwight Henry, Gabrielle Union, Penelope Ann Miller and Jackie Earle Haley. Charlie Clouser to Return for ‘Saw: Legacy’

Charlie Clouser has signed on to score the upcoming horror thriller Saw: Legacy. The film is directed by Peter and Michael Spierig (Daybreakers, Predestination) and marks the eight installment in the horror series. No casting announcement have been made yet. Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfiner (Piranha 3D, Sorority Row) have written the screenplay. Mark Burg and Oren Kholes (John Q, Set It Off) are producing the project.
