Adam Taylor has composed the original music for the upcoming comedy drama Before I Fall. The film is directed by Ry Russo-Young (Nobody Walks) and stars Zoey Deutch, Halston Sage, Logan Miller, Kian Lawley, Elena Kampouris, Diego Boneta, Jennifer Beals, Cynthy Wu and Medalion Rahimi. The movie is based on the 2010 novel of same title by Lauren Oliver and follows a young woman who is stuck reliving the day of her death during one inexplicable week and untangles the mystery surrounding her death. Last night, the 7th Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMAA) were handed out at the Fonda Theatre in Hollywood, CA. Nicholas Britell was honored with his first HMMA award for his score for Barry Jenkins’ Moonlight in the Original Score – Feature Film category. John Debney was awarded for his music for Jon Favreau’s The Jungle Book in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy Film category. He previously received an Outstanding Career Achievement award at the inaugural Hollywood Music in Media Awards show in 2009. Alexandre Desplat won his first HMMA for his work on The Secret Life of Pets in the Animated Film category and Mark Adler was honored for his score for Command and Control in the Documentary category. Rhino Records has released a soundtrack album for the Indian period comedy Brahman Naman. The album features the film’s original music composed by Neel and Miti Adhikari, as well as a track by Gandu Circus. The soundtrack is now available to download digitally overseas. No word yet on a domestic release date. Brahman Naman is directed by Q and stars Shashank Arora, Tanmay Dhanania, Chaitanya Varad, Vaiswath Shankar, Sindhu Sreenivasa Murthy and Sid Mallya. Neel and Miti Adhikari have composed the film’s original music. Soundtrack for Disney’s ‘Inner Workings’ to Be Released

Walt Disney Records will release the music for the the animated short Inner Workings. The film’s original score is composed by Ludwig Goransson (Creed, Community, Fruitvale Station, New Girl, Central Intelligence, 30 Minutes or Less). The soundtrack will be released as a digital single tomorrow and is available to pre-order here. Inner Workings is written and directed by Leonardo Matsuda and tells the story of the internal struggle between a man’s pragmatic, logical side and his free-spirited, adventurous half. The short will be playing in front of Disney Animation’s feature Moana, which will be released on November 23, 2016 by Walt Disney Pictures.

The details of the soundtrack album for Damien Chazelle’s movie musical La La Land have been revealed. The album features the original songs from the movie performed by the film’s cast and written by Justin Hurwitz (Whiplash) and featuring lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, as well as selections from Hurwitz’s score. Also included is the original song Start a Fire performed by John Legend who also co-wrote the song with Hurwtiz, Marius de Vries and Angelique Cinelu. The soundtrack will be released on December 9, 2016 by Interscope Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A separate soundtrack featuring Hurwitz’s original score will be also be released around the same time. Check back on this page for updates. In addition to revealing his involvement in several new projects, James Newton Howard also confirmed at a press tour for his upcoming concert series in Europe and at the London premiere of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them that he will return to score the film’s sequel. David Yates (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The Legend of Tarzan) who helmed the first part, which will be released this weekend, will also return to direct the movie.
