The details of the soundtrack album for Stephen Gaghan’s adventure drama Gold have been announced. The album features songs from the movie by artists such as New Order, The Pixies, Television, Kish Bashi (performing Talking Heads), The Isley Brothers and Richard & Linda Thompson. Also included is the original song Gold performed by Iggy Pop and written by himself, the movie’s composer Daniel Pemberton, Gaghan and Brian Burton (aka DangerMouse). Tyler Bates is currently recording his score for Marvel Studios’ sequel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 at Abbey Road Studios in London. Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the Indian historical drama Veeram. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jeff Rona (White Squall, Exit Wounds, Traffic, Chicago Hope). The film is directed by Mark Raso (Copenhagen) and stars Jason Sudeikis, Ed Harris, Elizabeth Olsen, Bruce Greenwood and Dennis Haysbert. The movie is based on A.G. Sulzberger’s 2010 New York Times article For Kodachrome Fans, Road Ends at Photo Lab in Kansas and revolves around a father and son who take a road trip to Kansas in order to develop photographs at Kodak’s last Kodachrome lab before it closes its doors for good. Gustavo Santaolalla is reteaming with director Thierry Klifa on the upcoming French drama Tout nous sépare. The film stars Catherine Deneuve, Diane Kruger, Nicolas Duvauchelle and Nekfeu. No plot details have been revealed yet. Klifa also co-wrote the screenplay with Cedric Anger (Next Time I’ll Aim for the Heart). François Kraus & Denis Pineau-Valencienne (L’ennemi intime), Maxime Delauney and Romain Rousseau are producing the project.
