  1. Brent says:

It sounds very promising. Sounds a little like Jablonsky, Beltrami and Newman.

    • Macejko says:

So it sounds great, shitty and not bad respectively?

      • tiago says:

I think you mean “it sounds shitty, not bad and great, respectively”.

        • Macejko says:

You must really like my rants about how f*cking terrible Beltrami’s music is, right? 😉 By the way, now I realized I don’t actually know which Newman Brent had in mind. Thomas, or David? I wrote that having David in mind.

          • Brent says:

            Ha, oops! Thomas for sure.

          • tiago says:

Well, I don’t think Beltrami is the best composer today, but he’s way better than Jablonsky. However, I’m glad that you wrote that with David Newman in mind, because to categorize Thomas Newman’s music as just being “not bad” is really weird.

          • Brent says:

Jablonsky is not as bad as people think he is. Sure, some of his work is considered “noise,” however he does it with such panache that I can’t stop enjoying it. Yet, I can’t say I get the same enjoyment from Beltrami’s scores. He bores me to death.

As for Thomas, he’s in another league. I love everything he does.
