The film starring Matthias Schoenaerts and Adèle Exarchopoulos is set against the background of a brutal crime gang in Brussels and centers on a gangster who meets and falls for a young racing driver with very upper-class roots. Roskam also wrote the screenplay with Thomas Bidegain (A ProphetRust and Bone) and Noé Debré (Dheepan). Premiering tomorrow, March 13, is the documentary Cries from Syria directed by Evgeny Afineevsky. The film’s original music is composed by Martin Tillman (The Ring Two, Last Knights). Diane Warren contributed the original song Prayers for this World, which is performed by Cher and The West Los Angeles Children’s Choir. The movie explores the humanitarian crisis in Syria and the devastating civil war that has defined the country over the last five years. The animated comedy centers on a group of low-level employees who seize control of a major corporation after accidently murdering their boss. The film is directed by Dan Lindsay and TJ Martin who received an Academy Award for the 2011 documentary Undefeated and tells the definitive story of the 1992 Los Angeles riots from the inside and from the point of view of those involved, using unseen personal footage and news archives, and testimonies of those who lived through it.
