Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album for the animated feature White Fang. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Bruno Coulais (Coraline, The Chorus, The Crimson Rivers, Winged Migration) and performed by the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Gast Waltzing. Also included is the original song You Will Find a Home by Bonnie “Prince” Billy (aka Will Oldham). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. A CD version is set to come out next month. White Fang is directed by Alexandre Espigares and features the voices of Rashida Jones, Nick Offerman, Eddie Spears and Paul Giamatti. The movie is based on Jack London’s classic novel of the same title and chronicles the life of White Fang, a wolf dog who experiences the best and worst of humanity. Read the rest of this entry »

Benjamin Wynn (aka Deru) has announced that he has composed the score for the upcoming YouTube Red original series Impulse. The show is based on the third novel in the Jumper series by Steven Gould and stars Maddie Hasson, Missi Pyle, Sarah Desjardins, Enuka Okuma, Craig Arnold and David James Elliott. The drama tells the story of a rebellious 16-year-old girl who has always felt different from her peers and has longed to escape from her seemingly quaint small town and soon discovers she has the extraordinary ability to teleport. The comedy revolves around an actor who years ago had a brief fling with success and is now a revered Hollywood acting coach. Lorre and Douglas are also executive producing the Warner Bros. Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the drama My Friend Dahmer. The album features the film’s original music composed by Andrew Hollander (Waitress, Sleepwalk with Me, Serious Moonlight). The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 30, 2018 and will be available to download on Amazon. My Friend Dahmer is directed by Marc Meyers and stars Ross Lynch, Anne Heche, Alex Wolff, Dallas Roberts and Vincent Kartheiser. Alan Silvestri is set to reteam with Robert Zemeckis on the upcoming fantasy drama The Women of Marwen. The film starring Steve Carell, Leslie Mann, Janelle Monae, Eiza Gonzalez, Diane Kruger, Falk Hentschel and Gwendoline Christie is based on Jeff Malmberg’s 2010 documentary Marwencol about a man who builds a miniature WWII-era village to help him get over a terrible life event. Zemeckis has also co-written the screenplay with Caroline Thompson (Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas) and is producing the ImageMovers production with Jack Rapke & Steve Starkey (Cast Away, What Lies Beneath) and Cherylanne Martin. Nathaniel Mechaly is scoring the upcoming Netflix docu-series November 13. The 3-parter is directed by Jules & Gédéon Naudet (9/11) and explores the human stories behind the terrorist attacks that took place in Paris on November 13th, 2015. The documentary will share testimonies of the people brought together by tragedy, from the survivors, the fire department, the Police and the leaders of the French government including French President at the time of the events, François Hollande.
